With all the forms being thrown at you to sign and dozens of nurses and doctors speaking with you, things get very confusing. Contacting Claire was the best move I made. No gumption for trial and attempts to mislead about "tax free" settlements. They tried to convince me its an after tax settlement. BS!! Best going it alone. Ohhh, claims $6000.00 in disbursements, but only has receipts for just over $600.00. If you use them, best of luck and watch them closely.

But in achieving a Certificate of Estate Trustee, I found Emma to be thorough, professional and particularly caring towards me as a client, answering numerous emails about personal problems and tax implications, even doing a search for divorce proof in the Toronto archives. She honored the original legal aid fee and did not charge more than the flat rate fee, although I paid for hourly services. Her training as a short track speed skater shines through in her acuteness and endurance.

I had a terrible slip and fall because of black ice that shattered my ankle. The ankle had to be reconstructed with plates, screws etc. I spent a number of months rehabbing. I reached out to Steve Abraham almost immediately after the accident. Steve was very thorough in explaining the process that one must go through to sue another party. The "process" took longer than I expected which was partially do to the COVID crisis but the results was better than I expected! During the time it took to settle Steve and his assistant Branka Seggie kept me up to date and informed on what was going on and what the next steps would be. Prior to the defense discovery meeting on me Steve went over with me what to expect. When the meeting was over I thought I was better prepared than the defense lawyers! Steve Abraham came to my home shortly after I had a slip/fall accident that resulted in a broken right femur bone close to the hip ( but too close to do an elegant hip replacement.) Instead, I had to go through painful broken leg recovery. Steve was recommended to me by my financial advisor, who said he is the best. He is especially good if it has to go to trial. Steve said I had a good case, and while it would take longer than expected to resolve, I agreed to go ahead. His assistant Tracey Luxon kept me up to speed on the (slow) developments, and Steve was always reachable. After 4 years, they were successful in getting me a good financial settlement (although I wish the defendant had taken better care of the icy sidewalk leading up to the entrance.)
