These lawyers were awful. I was too sick to do anything and they let my case stagnate for four months. I didn't get a penny from ICBC as soon as I hired them. They are the worst lawyers ever. They were rude to my husband about me and in no way acted as advocates of me. They acted like they worked for ICBC. I have a new lawyer now and have found out that most of the advice RDM gave me was wrong on counter productive to my case. Things have gotten a world better for cancelling my contract with them. They sent me a bill for over $3000 and charged $175 for every email they read. They are the reasons people call lawyers parasites. Avoid them at all costs.

Poor service and price I Informed them of all the information from the start for doing the closing paper work for the sale of my house! There was miscommunication on there end Because they handed my file around a couple times as proactive as i was they messed up and it cost me in the end. They pushed things right till the last days. Please Be very cautious if you choose to work with these individuals regarding ICBC. I can honestly say I`m incredibly frustrated and disappointed in my experience regarding this whole situation with RDM for 8 months. Late last year I was hit by a truck on foot and left with long lasting injuries that are still persisting and preventing me from my life. I can verify that other reviews regarding RDM & ICBC are accurate. RDM projected thing grand picture that they would help me, be in contact with my treatment specialist, etc. They failed to ensure I could make it to a concussion specialist, MRI, pay for meds,or anything else right away other than an OT which was not important in comparison to getting to heal or the proper recovery period as mention by doctors.RDMs responses to my emails were very non descriptive and vague. I would provide them with information regarding my practitioners and state of being to which they told me to stop contacting them with the same questions they would never answer adequately or would tell me they could not focus on my case because another client broke all their bones. Why are they sharing this with me regarding someone else`s claim as an excuse to dismiss or undermine my injuries and life. As well was my situation and excuse for RDM to use on another client? They would never answer my direct questions regarding legal fees, information obtained like video evidence, medical reports, witness statements, and I was informing them of everything with my health practitioners which they had only asked me for that information about where and who I was seeing for what treatments after 8 months. From whats Im reading when you work with RDM, ICBC will eat you and them up and spit you out and you will lose your career, go through extensive physical, mental, and emotional suffering, long painful recovery period, lose your life, almost your business or will depending on you as a person and determination to survive. If your with RDM switch right away as I`m getting more access to the things I so desperately needed and can finally start healing with my new lawyers.

I was just hung up on the phone by one of Doug Lester's paralegals who is a lawyer at RDM her name is Stephanie she is new and I have been a client for 6years now I was asking questions about my own case and she refused to answer then went on to hang up on me when I called back the secrets and she took a half day all of a sudden and wouldn't call me back till the following Tues mind you this happened on Friday at around 1230pm I don't know how their protocols are on treating clients but remember we are the ones that get you paid I expected a call back from somebody from their but did not get one so I just want to know who is in charge there I'm very upset and want some action taken this is a disgusting way to treat a 6 year long client plus my whole family wher clients of RDM years ago with Ian McCallum who was great and never subject my parents to this treatment

In one word- joke. If you have an ICBC claim and are preoccupied with your injuries or recovery, don't even approach these people. While my wife was recouperating through the most heinous part of being struck as a pedestrian in a crosswalk, RDM sat back and did absolutely nothing. They advocated a variety of ICBC 'approved' steps before the case would get settled. Now that we have a new lawyer, suddenly none of these disturbing hoops (including committing my wife to an ICBC care facility, which NO ONE seems to have heard of before) need to be jumped through. We were understandably overwhelmed as a family, emotionally and financially, after the accident. We signed on with these people because they told us judges were more understanding in the Lower Mainland for ICBC cases. Lie. The same judges run the circuit in the rest of the province. Our case was given to a lawyer with two assistants and we were promised that we would speak to Douglas Lester shortly. Lie. Five and a half months later we only spoke to an assistant. We were given no monthly updates AND were charged $175 each time we sent an email asking for said updates- lawyers are required by the Law Society of BC to keep their clients informed on a regular basis. We were promised reimbursement for the cost of medications as the case wore on. Lie. RDM did nothing to assist us in this- they didn't even catch the fact that ICBC changed our advance from Tort monies to Section VIIs (ICBC did this to avoid having to pay us back for prescriptions). Julie Fredette the RDM assistant, when she finally deigned speak to us after four months, spoke very rudely on the phone to me about my wife, who is the complainant in the case. She repeatedly told ME, my wife's primary care giver, how my wife was feeling, when she hadn't spoken to my wife in months. She refused to listen to me (a paramedic) about my wife's state of health and assured me repeatedly that ICBC was so above board and trustworthy. She was in NO WAY an advocate for my wife against ICBC. We changed lawyers last month- and the new one pointed out in under a fortnight about ICBC's games with the Section VIIs and has the case well underway. In UNDER TWO WEEKS. We languished with RDM for FIVE AND A HALF MONTHS. Do not pick these people, for they obviously have the same tee times with ICBC at the local country club.

I was a client of RDM who represented me in a ICBC claim when I was driving on the Trans Canada and was struck by a motorist merging on to the highway. After a couple of 360's and going backward into the ditch and slammed into a concrete wall so hard that the receiver on my hitch snapped cleanly off. I had permanent injuries to my hip, neck and elbow. During meetings between my lawyer and ICBC lawyer she was mocked by the insurance lawyer for being ill prepared and the case went on and I received a measly sum as well. Would never use this company again.

The realtor told me that the lady that normally looks after it had left the company. Which should have anything to do with it. They are incompetent. For anything ICBC related avoid at all costs. Was transferred between three different lawyers internally and information was lost each time. Near had to get another lawyer to take them to court as the transferring almost lost me my case. When I wanted to meet with the third Lawyer I was given a multitude of excuses as to why I could not. But ultimately their secretary's are more incompetent than the lawyers considering none of my wishes or questions were communicated though the chain even when explicitly requested. But hey thats the level of quality you get from these jokers. The alleged "legal team" needs to be disbanded or start caring about their clients.
