It's difficult to put into words. My injury was in 2004. I sought out Gosal & Company in late 2009 when it became clear that I was not able to continue to seek medical attention, heal, recover, AND deal with Worksafe's convoluted, dysfunctional claims process. Nothing was making sense to me. There was NO common sense. Gosal & Company is/was able to direct me to the various experts to review & provide legal opinions I required to support MY claim. Contacted them from web form - reply was quick. First email response was tp contact office for 30m free consultation. When contacted - Lady on phone talked about 1500 CAD retainer fee and 300 CAD per hour charges for "whatever" time they will spend on my file. NO free consultation - right from beginning it was money and confusion. I wrote back with request to clarify how many hrs , how much approx expenditure of hours in a month ? A patient on work loss compensation have to be worried and concerned about financial factor. Got a reply - that they can not tell how many hours bill I will be billed. With this i am finding myself pushed to the wall - it seems only rich and people with deep pockets can avail their services. RECEIVED THIS THREAT : I kindly request that you remove your negative review as you are neither a client, nor have you received legal services from Gosal & Company. Failure to do so shall result in legal action for defamation without further notice. So strange, that they have a English website- with such good [ ? ] reviews. My above experience is email correspondence with them and phone calls to clarify those emails. Never claimed I was their client or ever used their "services" - my review is not about how good agency/company they are - its based on email correspondence and talk with frontdesk.

I have just closed my account with Gosal & Co. I am an outlier here as so many rave reviews are posted that I felt I was retaining quality representation. I feel the need to say this. Many thousands of dollars [6K+/-] spent for no apparent benefit at all. That with an estimated 8K moving forward to completion. My mistake maybe as I did not get any costing in writing but what was voiced to me at the start was less than what has been spent so far.. Nice friendly staff at every turn until I start to ask what value I am getting for money spent. If you are like me and do not have a large source of money to draw on...... my advice is stay away......go to another ......do it yourself. This is a bit of a long story but worth your time. I was working for a local delivery company under contract when I fell and suffered a concussion. I was taken to VCH emergency and diagnosed with a concussion. WCB excepted my claim. I went to HIATS downtown for 6 weeks then extended for a extra 2 weeks near the end of the process. I was still not feeling well but was pushed by WCB and my company to return to work. (Under the contract i only had 6 months off for medical reason after which I would loss my position) At this time I was off for about 6 months. I did try to do the gradual return to work against my doctors recommendation. I got through the GRTW and restarted my regular delivery’s. Over the next few weeks my condition got worse and had to stop work. WCB refused to reopen my case, that’s when I was introduced to Gosal and Company. At first we had to appeal the closing of the case through WCAT. Gosal and Company set up a appointment with Dr Brooks for a legal medical opinion. During this appointment Dr. Brooks stated that WCB will not give a pension only find you a job that fits your ability’s. The report was over 80 pages which we presented at the Tribunal. It took about one year for the final decision. I won and the case was reopened. Over the next two years I was in limbo, almost nothing happening with my case other than lots of Doctors appointments, specialist for ear, eye, cognitive function, balance, and headaches. All this to determine my disabilities for a list of items that would be issues in my next position. I had a appointment with a specialist to fill out a CV and then I was in the back to work program. During this year WCB could not find a suitable job for me. My medical file is huge. I went to countless Doctors both here in BC and also one I paid for in Lake Oswego Oregon. I am still suffering from post concussion syndrome headaches, lack of balance, sensitive to light, noises, movements and movements in my field of view. WCB determined that I’m over 38% disability. This is a number that is really hard to understand. If you meet me you would not even realize any impairment. This is one of the biggest problems with concussions it’s very hard to prove how much we suffer. In the last few months WCB finally accepted my condition completely and gave me full pension until I’m 65. There is no way I could of gotten this result without the expertise and experience of Gosal and Company. If there is anything I can suggest is not to give up and trust them. I wanted to give up a few times through this ordeal but my wife and friends gave me the strength to continue. Even after not following my Doctors advice and Dr Brooks saying that I will not get a pension I still prevailed. PS I am still seeing specialists and had another special eye test that anyone with a concussion will understand. The results are as bad as they have been in the past 6 years. Nothing has helped my constant headaches and sensitivity to movement. But I’m still not giving up. Maybe a bit stubborn but I’m only 55 and want to be able to do things and not suffer like I’m now. Without Gosal and Company my financial position would be much worse now.

At beginning, it was hard because wcb didn't pay much. Gosal and co helped me get CPP benefits and then it got a bit easier but i still struggled. 7 or 8 months ago, they helped me get a higher amount from wcb and then last month, i got the 100 loss of earnings award. its a long process but its not there fault, just stick with them. Can't say enough good things about the results in my worksafe claim. Legal representation is not cheap. But in this case I got everything I paid for and then some. Thanks to experts at Gosal & Company I was able to receive benefits that I was entitled to plus several benefits I did not even know existed. Worksafe BC would love nothing more than to sweep you under the carpet to die than actually help when they think they can get away without doing so.
