BEWARE!!! READ FULLY BEFORE EVER GOING HERE!!! Hidden fees, lawyers yelling at us and us having to chase them continuously!! Had a horrible experience with this law office and wholeheartedly recommend everyone avoid! We dealt with Janice and Taylor for our house sale and I unfortunately do not have one good thing to say! Once our realtor sent over the documents to their team I had to call repeatedly and leave multiple voicemails for Taylor that all went unanswered. Finally I was able to get her on the phone and we made an appointment and was told I would receive email correspondence confirming things which were never sent to me. Regardless, we made the journey down to Langley to sign the paperwork. As we’ve never sold a house before, we didn’t know what to expect. When we got into the office with Janice many of the numbers regarding the house sale were marked “tbd”. My husband calmly mentioned his discomfort signing forms 3 days before our house closed that still didn’t have numbers on it. The unprofessionalism from Janice was absolutely appalling!!!! Within 3 minutes of meeting her she was raising her voice yelling at my husband and I because “do we not know who she is, she’s an accredited lawyer”. I firmly noted to her that her tone was unbelievably unacceptable which prompted even more disrespect from her. She told us our house sale may fall through because she couldn’t get the required paperwork sent over from our bank. She told us the only way to get that is “if I have an in” at some Toronto based third party organization that wasn’t our lender. After hours on the phone with them I called our lender instead. They informed me that their system updates every 3 hours and our lawyers have not sent anything!!!!! I called Taylor back and she said “oh ya they messaged me yesterday asking for your mortgage number. Do you have that?” Our house closed Monday and this was the Friday before and they didn’t even think to call me to get our mortgage number? So finally once they sent the forms in I had to call our lender back and ask them to fast track it!! On Monday when the sale went through they didn’t make it to the bank in time so we had to wait until Tuesday. We were hit with hidden “courier fees” and other things at this time. When we went to our bank to talk to them after the cheque was deposited they told us there had to be a hold on it as it was deposited as a cheque instead of the more common bank draft. Selling a house is stressful but this experience was absolutely horrendous and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone! Save yourself the headache and stress and take your business absolutely anywhere else!!!!!!!!!!!

I sustained injuries from an automobile accident that was 100 percent not my fault and therefore thought I didn't need a lawyer. To be honest, retaining a lawyer was the LAST thing I ever wanted to do. The insurance company was threatening to stop my treatments (even with Doctor notes and obvious injuries). It was then I felt the need for an advocate. Calling CBM Lawyers and retaining Ashely was the best decision I made. The process to get treatment and be cared for properly would have been a nightmare without her help. She was incredibly supportive, understanding, fair and at ALL times available when I needed her. Her support staff was knowledgeable, kind and thorough. Not only that but she fought for every last penny she felt I needed to move forward and explained everything clearly. Call CBM Lawyers... you will be very happy to have them fighting this battle for you.

BEWARE, READ BEFORE DECIDING ON THIS LAWYER/NOTARY. We dealt with Janice and Taylor and this was the worst experience I've ever had dealing with a notary/lawyer. In a 15 minute meeting we were presented with an unfinished document that did not have the final details of our house sale. When questioned about this we were yelled at and treated in a disrespectful, unprofessional and borderline unethical way. Janice was aggressive, disrespectful and dismissive. She tried to get us out of her office as soon as she could and repeatedly looked at her watch. We were told that there's a chance that our sale would not go through because she didn't have documents from our lender. She did not reassure us or made any further attempt to fix the issue. We had to call a company that she said was holding up the process. Turns out Janice and Taylor did not give them the proper information regarding our mortgage 1 BUSINESS DAY BEFORE WE CLOSED. We had to babysit and make sure that this deal went through. We paid for a service that we had to complete ourselves. They charged us extra fees that we did not know about until right before the house was closing. Overall, I would pay triple to not have to deal with this horrendous headache again. I would not recommend that anyone choose this company based on our experience.

I had a very bad experience with CBM lawyer especially with Tarel (one of the lawyers), I asked for a marriage agreement to be completed ASAP, however, I ended waiting three months and never have it done which lead to a more complicated case and now I am facing a family issue /separation because of that. The only mail I was receiving from CBM Lawyers was billing /fee invoice. ***If you know you that you won’t be able to help your customer, why you didn’t try to refer me to another lawyer in the office or to a different office who can do it for me for the specified time frame ?! I will blame this office for all this waste of time, efforts and all these problems.
