Only one star but I'd give no stars if it was allowed. My dear friend sold his house almost 3 weeks ago and this idiotic law firm (Stephanie Hermans) "wired" his sale proceeds instead of either direct depositing same or simply handing him a trust cheque. So now, hundreds of thousand of dollars is floating around in cyberspace while the firm blames the bank and the bank blames the firm. This poor man has overcome and beat cancer and has no energy to be dealing with this unprofessional law firm. The managing partner (Allan Lovett) admits this isn't the first time this incident has occurred and yet they are still sending out wire transfers in this manner!! A call has been made to the Law Society of Ontario and a complaint process has been commenced. I think someone needs to be held accountable and reprimanded. This behaviour from a law firm is absolutely disgusting and apprehensible. In response: it doesn't take 3 weeks to rectify this issue...duh!!
