Been looking for a family law lawyer who would take on legal aid cause I can't afford a lawyer. Drove all the way to Barrie to have them tell me they don't want me as a client. Telling me that I cancelled 3 times and that I was 30min late. Both which are not accurate. I got there for 1pm but I am not from Barrie and was unaware I had to find a parking spot on the street and then didn't know, that if you don't have change that you have to download an app for the Parking and then input all your information and if you don't have a credit card your not able to pay. I only cancelled twice cause some other personal matters came up and I couldn't make it, then the office had to cancel cause of a court matter, and lawyer didn't even remember. Then telling me I'm 30min late, when I got to the office on time but had to ask them about Parking, the lawyer went on to say that he has never had anyone take a long time using the Parking app, even after I explained I am not from Barrie and have never used that app etc.... I just feel that was very unprofessional and not understanding at all and making me feel guilty that I made them loose lots of money, but then tell me they didn't bill anything. Doesn't seem like lawyers really care about helping Legal aid clients
