I visited this office to introduce myself as I work for a local business down the street. I walked into the office and greeted the lady working the front desk. Before I was even finished my sentence, she cut me off and said "THERE'S NO SOLICITING HERE". I apologized as I was completely unaware (I was there with the intent of JUST introducing myself). I replied "no problem" and reached for the stack of cards displayed on the counter as I did not want to interrupt anyone. I grabbed one of the cards from the counter, the lady says "PUT THAT BACK". I was in complete shock and lost for words! I responded "Why is that?" where after she DEMANDED "I NEED YOU TO PUT THAT BACK". I could not believe the way this lady had just treated a walk-in. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL, UNWELCOMING AND RUDE. I believe in exchanging business cards with local businesses as this is a great way to connect and network within the community. When someone walks into my business and I am not interested, I willingly give them a business card and let them email me information about what they have to offer. Business is about providing VALUE and if you cannot do that for THEM, simply they will not buy what you have to offer. WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
