The function was a birthday party. We used to use this facility more often for birthday parties because of the swim gym party room. It would have received more stars if they maintain their blowup bouncy castle which was awesome for the kids to play in during a birthday party. Why they got rid of the blowup bouncy castle I don’t know but it is not as good Without the bouncy castle

Great facility. It's always kept very clean. Has a large pool, gymnasium and weight/ cardio rooms. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. They also have very modern and we'll kept equipment. Definitely the best gym in the Quinte Wear area.

If you upgrade to the adult change room. That's the fifth star. Just try to avoid peak times. Makes a world of difference.

Pricey memberships. There are many kids programs but sometimes they seem to be run in a very disorganized manner. Teens in charge of 25 kids. Nice yoga programs, great therapy pool.

The pool area was recently updated and I found the floor very slippery, to the point of which I felt it was unsafe. The staff listened to my concern (they are all wonderful, especially Heather) and assured me the message would get addressed. I also sent an email to the General Manager of the Quinte Branch "Ron" He was very quick to respond and assured me that I was not the only one with the concern, he also informed me that they are working to fix the problem. He also insisted I contact him again if I required any assistance! This to me is excellent customer service! Bravo!

In my own experience programs tend to stop without much notice. I have found that their printed program is misleading at times as a result. But again, this is my experience, yours could be different. Space is limited in general at this location but that is mostly because it is too small for the amount of patrons it has...otherwise its fine. Staff are friendly and the facility itself is kept well.

Subject: Heather is friendly & Quinte West needs a stronger community. This is a town with drug issues, too much welfare & Jim Harrison. YMCA Canada in this town is working to make us better. I think that should be rewarded. Suggestion: Less privileged Elderly members. Just over heard some members talking about the validity of slavery. Could make anyone uncomfortable. Not just a preachy Liberal. Create ACCESSIBLE programs for young moms on Welfare.

Drove all the way here to find out the pool was closed due to problem with chemicals not mentioned on their website, which I checked before I arrived. Belleville membership not accepted for steam room, so I left. Pretty bad business practices.

While the memberships are rather pricey for the market the staff are all very friendly and professional. We have enrolled our daughter in 3 of the programs on offer and while they seem a touch unstructured, the kids all seem to have an amazing time. The fitness area itself is well equipped from a machine perspective but is lacking in free weights. With too few squat racks, getting in a workout can take far longer than it should.

We are proud members of the Quinte West YMCA. They have done an amazing job, even throughout the challenges of COVID. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and I enjoy the classes offered. I hope the online booking system is here to stay - it's a quick, convenient way to plan your visits and it ensures that the gym is never too crowded.

We joined 5 months ago and have been enjoying the amenities. Great gym, terrific staff. Had an incident in the Therapeutic Pool this week and given that some people had a chance to have their say, we need to have a chance to say ours. We go to the morning Tone & Stretch class as I like to participate in that class. My husband accompanies me, and had tried the class, but found it difficult to do all the exercises. He has scoliosis and a few months ago, was told he has necrosis in his hip joint. He exercises in the pool while I am attending the class. He positions himself at the front end of the pool and does his exercises, trying to stay out of the way of the class. He does not wear his glasses and most of the time his eyes are closed as he is counting the reps of the exercises he is doing for his leg and hips. This week, some women complained to the instructor about the fact that he is facing them in the pool while he is exercising and it makes them uncomfortable. No one asked why he was there and maybe they just thought he was hanging out at the pool checking them out, but the fact is he is exercising his hip and this particular pool, in that particular position helps his mobility. He is not there looking at you. However, as they expressed discomfort with his presence, he now he has a problem exercising, as right after that class in the Therapeutic pool, a variety of kids come for swimming lessons, so he is unable to exercise for long enough when the class ends and before the swimming lessons start. He will now have to come at a different time each day to do his exercises, which is inconvenient, but they had their chance to have their say, and now I hope they all understand why he was there. He cannot use the back area of the pool, as it is too shallow with the steps and ramp. I feel it is important to have both sides of a story told - those people got a chance to complain to the instructor and now I am telling his side. Always 2 sides to a story.

I would give this a 5 start reading of the people at the counter were more friendly and less irritable. Other staff in this building are typically very friendly and upbeat, but if you ever want to call in the people over the phone are ride and useless with information.
