There's something for everyone, the best playground around for the kids, with a splash pad and musical toys! There's a nice long walking/running track with exercise equipment spaced throughout if you want a nice workout. There's even some soccer fields and foot ball fields not to mention lots of memorials to give you a taste of the history. A scenic walk around the brook that runs through the park and a seperate dog park to boot! There's nothing not to love!

There is something for everyone at the park. A well maintained playground with a splash pad for young kids , soccer and football feilds, a great walking and exercise trail . Even a canteen if you need it. Only thing that would improve it is a public outdoor pool.

Be prepared to bribe or drag your child out of here! Awesome place for the kiddos to play, super soft cushion ground under the playground equipment. They have outdoor musical instruments, walking track with self propelled exercise equipment, dog park, water park area for kids to run through during the summer months. Also there is a take out there, island sauce co., 11/10 recommend!

Awesome little water park. The play area is padded to minimize falls. Lots of stuff for children of all ages to do, and a great canteen for food, the bathrooms are very well maintained and clean.

Great place to take the kids out. Great walking track with outdoor excercise equipment. Along with a neighboring fenced off dog park. You can also view the occasional soccer game and get your snacks at the snack bar. Indoor plumbing is nice as well.

My only realy complaint about this park is that it closes around 10PM so it's mostly useless for my schedule. However, when opened it has a restaurant and is the best place to play Pokémon Go in town.

It's mostly amazing! There are several areas for the kids to play in, with slides, a small zip line, and lots to climb on. The splash pad is fun, too. There are benches for parents to sit on. Sometimes the sight lines aren't that great, especially if you have multiple kids running in different directions. And if they need to go to the washroom, while it is nearby you'll probably have to pack up little ones to make a group trip.

My daughter loves the playground here. It can be pretty packed sometimes and like everything else in Cape Breton they're slacking on the upkeep, however all in all its a great place to take the kids or go for a walk.

Being handicapped with an amputation of the right leg below the knee and a brace on the left leg from the toes to the knee I have mobility issues and they offered me a drive to and from the the gate to the entertainment and festivities on a side by side A.T. vehicle. Which I gladly excepted. Lots of amazing volunteers, and great food and not a scrap of waste anywhere. Good job you guys and thanks. Many thousands of people enjoyed the Rib Fest. Thank you all.

Lots of resting spots with places to sit. Really well kept...very clean. Childrens area is nice. But it's rather boring to walk around. Not much shade from the sun in the summer and bitter cold in the winter because of all the open areas with no trees to block the wind off the ocean. Too much empty spaces. Hardly any pretty flowers..just emptiness. Would be interesting to have a museum with artifacts from the steel plant, garden areas to attract birds and butterflies. Some picnic tables so people could have a family picnic. A few nets to play volley ball, more kids stuff like something entertaining wise . It's just so boring there. Even the dog park is boring...hardly any shelter from the sun , be nice if there were things for the dogs to climb on , jump on, play with. An area for seniors to enjoy. Not a long walk to get to..like a coffee/tea area. Some wooden swings, bathrooms open everyday but locked at night and checked every hour. Just some suggestions. I'm sure tourists find it rather boring as well.
