We decided to go with Sarasota when we built our house in Jensen Lakes, St. Albert. We were drawn to Sarasota for a number of reasons. We liked that their show homes looked to be a cut above others. They are a family-owned business with strong ties to St. Albert. They also claimed to be a custom builder. From experience, “custom” may mean many things (ie - may be willing to modify an existing plan as opposed to doing something from scratch). We definitely made the right choice. First, their design team was fabulous. We had gone in with one of their existing floor plans in mind.We thought we would just tweak it a bit. By the time we finished our first session and the team had listened to what we wanted, they told us they were just going to scrap everything we had worked on to that point and that they would come up with a new plan to meet our needs. They weren’t annoyed with us (or at least never showed it) - they just said they thought they could come up with something better. The next meeting they presented us with a brand new plan, designed just for us and it was perfect! The look, the layout, the amenities and all within the budget we were looking for. They had definitely listened carefully because all of our “asks” were there. They are definitely a true “Custom” builder. From start to move in was roughly 7.5 months which I thought was very quick and sooner than the date they had originally given us. They kept us advised throughout the process and got back to us in a timely way when we had questions or concerns. We have now been living here about four months and it is everything we had hoped. The quality is excellent and the care that the whole team showed (design, sales, construction) was impressive. There were kind touches throughout too that made dealing with them, during what many people often find to be a nerve-wracking experience, a real pleasure. The only negative thing I have to add is that they do not, apparently, build outside of St. Albert. Maybe they can be persuaded to do so in the future. In the meantime, residents in St. Albert need look no further. This house builder is top notch!

High quality custom builder! Designs in spec bungalow spectacular from lighting, custom fanhood, overall design, so happy with bungalow spec. house, loves every thing about it , so is our forever home in very quiet street. From first contact to buying house was easy and Brooke Perkins was very efficient, professional realtor who worked hard to sell our 2 properties! She was always available and in a tough time and december market, sold our property, offering sound advice!! If you need a great realtor and dedicated to her field choose Brooke Perkins Sargent!! Sylvia and John Jackson impressed and so happy with whole experience, Michelle designs a great house, Kristin Boser goes above and beyond in the buying area, putting her clients always first!Staging offered by the team when selling property is such a helpful and clever service to assist in showing the property well and selling your property is seamless!

Low quality builder who doesn’t stand by their product after a major deficiency was identified. After several years of water issues in the basement we discovered Sarasota didn’t tie the weeping tile into the sump pit. I gave them the chance to come have a look and fix it but they wouldn’t even come look. **Update after seeing Sarasota’s reply. I completely agree with what you said, Sarasota did nothing and wouldn’t stand by their product. A quality builder would have had the contractor that was paid to do the original work come out and finish the job properly. The fact that we bought this home off a realtor who built it on spec 12 years ago is irrelevant. The fact is that the home you built did not have the weeping tile tied into the sump pit and caused water to enter the home.

My husband and I decided to make the move to St Albert after admiring the city for many years. We explored our options for building a new home and decided to build with Sarasota. This was our first Sarasota home but our second build. Working with Sarasota far surpassed our expectations and our previous experience with another builder. The fact the Sarasota is a custom builder meant that we were able to really work with Michelle and her team to get what we wanted. The design process is thoughtful and allows clients the time to consider all of their options. The Sarasota design team worked with us to create our dream home. During a build there are always hiccups considering all the details that need to be considered. When we raised concerns the team was responsive and worked with us to find a solution. They also took our timeline into consideration when finishing the home. Working with Sarasota has been a pleasure despite the stress that can go along with a new build. We highly recommend a Sarasota home!

Building our house with Sarasota was an amazing process. The team has such great knowledge of what will work both functionally and stylistically, so we felt very comfortable and confident in our decisions. As this was our first time building, Bry, Sarah, Michelle and Joel, were all very patient and kind. They even entertained some of our more wild ideas throughout the process and the suggestions that they made really improved the overall space and livability. Highly recommend building with Sarasota, and I would choose to build with them again. We truly love our home.

My husband and I were very interested in making a move into a newer location of St. Albert. We had very little knowledge of what it would cost or if our budget would be able to get us our dream home. However, the excellent service we received from the entire team at Sarasota Homes was amazing. The hours of work they invested in all of my questions to the hours of time spent on creating cost sheets, drawings and the no pressure approach was very much appreciated. At the end of the day, Sarasota was able to show us some beautiful options. But sadly, due to Covid we decided to postpone moving forward. I was so touched that Bryanne completely understood our needs as a family and only supported our decision. Such a great commitment to customer services should be commended highly. Even though I did not purchase a home through Sarasota at this time, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to build.
