Trying to get pre approved for a mortgage is simply a pain in the butt! A few lenders said no try later, one broker said you will probably only qualify for a small amount, I don't think he wanted to work that hard! Then I was referred to Tara and her team...this is by far, hands down, the very best experience ever! From my very first phone call to Tara's office I knew I was in good hands, I have Tara's cell #, I have Leanne's cell # and they both encouraged me that if I have any questions, concerns or just want to check on the progress or status of my application not to even hesitate to call or text, 8 am or 8 pm they were always there. Tara assured me that she would work tirelessly to find a way for a larger amount for my approval and she came through. She can only do what she can do but she seems to have endless resources and will not give up on you! I dont take this lightly, I am so grateful for all Tara and her team has done. Shamalan Naidu of Century 21 Masters - St. Albert suggested we contact Tara Borle and team of Mortgage Architects. Tara Borle and team (specifically Tara-Lynn Ruhl and Lee Mallais) at Mortgage Architects went above and beyond our expectations. The team got us pre-approved for our requested amount in less than 48 hours and during the upcoming May long weekend. After several unnecessary conversations with our own bank, trying to get pre-approved, it was apparent the bank (one of the Big 5) has issues properly training and educating their employees. Issues we had with the bank: * We were requested an MLS listing for what was a private sale. This was only resolved after we had our lawyer and real estate agent confirm there was no requirement for an MLS listing (which we knew) and only after communicating this with the branch manager. * The employee assisting us had no education in mortgages or how they worked (the employee was a mutual funds specialist and was focused on filling out a template). * The employee assisting us requested documents with no context on how the documents would be used or how it would improve our chances of pre-approval or better rate. * The employee assisting us was more interested in selling us product (why do I care about a pre-approval for a new credit card?) instead of processing my mortgage application. In summary: * It was a complete pleasure to work with Tara and team at Mortgage Architects. * They were proactive in their approach for any requests they had. * They explained in great detail the components of our mortgage pre-approval application and how one component could affect the outcome. * The team are a happy bunch. * They didn't give us the run-around or BS us. * I would and will personally recommend Tara and team at Mortgage Architects for the services they offer.

Let me say right away that Tara and her team are THE BEST in the business. Call her and she will get you the mortgage you want at the best rate, end of story. I was referred to Tara by my girlfriend. My mortgage company was not being helpful with porting my mortgage, and my previous mortgage broker could not seem to get me a decent rate. I found out during my first conversation with Tara that she is forthright, honest, tough, hardworking and loves a challenge. I told her that I really liked the broker I had, that he had worked hard, etc. Tara asked me what rate she needed to get my business, I said she needed to beat his rate by 50 basis points (half a percent), to which she replied "no problem, give me a day"! Anyway, she ended up beating it by almost 60 basis points, there was no way I could have gotten a better rate with the same criteria. To say I'm happy with the service of her and her excellent team would be a huge understatement. If I could give her 6 stars I would! When I need a renewal or if I have to move again, she will be my first call.

Buyers beware. I was trying to buy a house and this lady Tara promised me she would only pull my credit once and lied and got it pulled 3 times. She than tried to say I told her to do it with TD and Scotia to hold rates. She lies like a car sales man. She seemed so nice the first time I talk to her but than after that she and her assistant bombarded me with call, emails and text. I told her to calm down that we were not in a rush but that didn’t stop her. I was out of town working and told her I would have all the papers she requested when I got back but she was still calling, texting and emailing asking for info. If I didn’t answer she would call me over and over. She definitely took the fun out of buying my first house. She thinks she did nothing wrong. My branch manager even said this is effectively my credit score and same with the 5 people at Equifax. Iam reporting her to BBB and the news and have contacted a lawyer. She probably gets away with this because no one ever calls her out on shady business deals she tries to do just to get commission. I asked her so many times to take those 2 extra hard credit pulls but she said she didn’t do them. She first told me they were only soft pulls until I called Equifax and than found out they were hard pulls. She also tried to say I did them after. She is all over the place with her lies she can’t even remember which lie she told me. The only reason they were pulled is because she asked both banks to pull it. My score went down 60 points.
