So far, we've worked with HML for their landscape design services to redefine our entire lot based around a garage rebuild project. Now that the design phase of our relationship is complete, I can say it's been fantastic. If you're wondering if it's worth paying for design help - it is. As a person who likes to do a lot of research online, I'll say that there's no amount of online reading and self-drawings that will produce the level of plan that Jessica was able to offer us. Especially factoring in time. Jessica is a great listener, which was very important to us as detailed clients. Her expertise was extremely valuable and she surpassed our expectations. First of all, Jessica has been great to deal with! She heard us when we were first starting to plan the project. She incorporated everything we mentioned, plus added a few features that she thought we would like. As winter has arrived, we have only completed our front yard landscaping details. Next spring we do the back yard. The installation team of Pedro and Dustin were amazing. They were skilled, reliable (always there when they said), friendly and very accommodating. We're looking forward to next spring when the entire project comes together.

HML was amazing to deal with responding quickly to my call requesting about getting a quote done for my lot getting regraded to fix some water pooling problems. Casey was able to come out the next week and even with a decent amount of snow still on the ground he was able to give me a very reasonable quote for everything I wanted to do. With how big my lot is Casey worked with me to get the project within my budget. HML also offers financing for projects that you don’t want to do in steps. As soon as the ground was thawed HML was out at my place working away.TJ the foreman of the crew was great to work with and made sure everything turned out how I wanted. At the end of each day they made sure to clean up the yard/work area.I highly recommend them and will have them come back in the future for some other smaller projects that didn’t make it this time around.

I sometimes watch on the house cameras because it is just SO satisfying seeing the amazing work these teams provide. Having done my own fencing for years - which all turned out to look like DIY jobs, I might add - I took the leap to find a contractor. My neighbor had used Casey and HML for a retaining wall and fencing and I was incredibly impressed with the clean lines and solid construction. I asked Casey for a quote and I was immediately impressed with his timely responses, open and honest commnication, and professionalism. I short, I had a good feeling. However, being on a corner lot, I had to balance the requests of two other parties and the price was a little high for one neighbor. Long story, short, to ensure that all fencing had a continuinty in style and materials, I went with a different contractor. I felt bad because I had already started some preliminary discussions with Casery. However, Casey was absolutely amazing and understanding, stating that he's been at this long enough to know that these things happen. If you're looking for a company who is professional, positive, and will work openly and honestly with you to create a quality product (as I saw with the aforementioned retaining wall my neighbor had done), then I can't recommend Casey and HML enough. Will you find some smaller, one-man operations who will do the work cheaper? Yes. But will they be as fast? Will it have the quality? Will you have a contractor who is as great as Casey? These are much harder questions to answer. And I still regret that we didn't end up going with Casey and HML due to unforeseen issues with a neighbor.

We were blessed to have hired HML Contracting Ltd. special gratitude and thanks to the following wonderful people: Landscaping project manager: Mik When Mik came for the initial visit, we found him to be very professional, excellent listener, very knowledgeable and above all very patient with our lengthy and detailed questions. Throughout the project, Mik has been on constant communications with us to let us know when each of the project phase would happen, and when unexpected situation(s) arose he immediately came to our house to explain the situations, propose remedies he discussed with the project foreman and does not leave until we were all on the same page. Landscaping designer: Karlee Karlee professional expertise as landscape designer helped us conceptualize what we would like our house landscaping be transformed too. She listened to our wish list and advised us on what would work in our harsh winter climate and what wouldn’t and thus we were able to define our trees and plants selection. She also helped us with our paver/stone color selection and gave us samples and ample time to see how they would look in different light settings. The final design she presented to us was amazing. Landscaping foreman: Rene Landscaping team member: Romain Rene and Romain conducted themselves professionally throughout the project and were very receptible to our requests and made sure that we were happy of the outcome. They went over and beyond the call of duty when suggesting to us minor changes to the layout that would have an overall nice finishing effect. Every single day over three weeks period , Rene and Romain were very punctual arriving at our house at 7:15 AM and they left the site clean at the end of each day. We would highly recommend HML landscaping for their professionalism, integrity, communication, customer first approach, workmanship and warranties. Thank you HML for a project well done! Last summer (2018) we selected HML Landscape as our Contractor to construct our dream Landscape plan (originally drawn by Jessica over a decade ago; It was great to see her again now with HML). Our large yard landscape project was thoughtfully executed to perfection by Rene and Roman (the “French Connection”), they brought years of wisdom and experience to the project and treated us and all of our ideas with respect and understanding. Jason then brought his expertise in fine tuning the pond, waterfalls and sprinkler systems; he has since helped instruct us with related maintenance activities. We are absolutely ecstatic about the completed yard and water feature. Our neighbors as well were treated to professional good natured attitude as Rene and Roman strived to keep the street clean and to manage traffic disruption to a minimum (material removal/deliveries and equipment activities). We were pleased with their concern and the whole neighbourhood was impressed with HML’s professionalism from start to finish. This year we continue to add to our landscape with more Trees, Shrubs and Flowering plants, spending work and leisure time in our garden oasis is a most enjoyable pastime and source of satisfaction. He and his colleague (I forget his name) were polite and seemed excited to share their knowledge. They took the time to help me understand how the system works (it came with the house but no manuals) and showed me how to do a lot of the maintenance myself. The next year, after the job had been completed and paid for, Mik even came out during a long weekend when to address an drainage problem and a few days later, they completely re-did paving stone front steps without us having to ask.
