The hotel is decent. Located on the main road right next to an A&W restaurant and a gas station. There is also a restaurant on site. The rooms were clean, however I did find several large spiders in my room. Each room has a fridge, microwave, tv and AC.

They have 2 buildings, we stayed at the one with a nice water view. The room was nice, comfortable bed, good size, home feel. It was an older building, but not an issue. The restaurant in the building was fantastic. Awesome food, great service, good price, nice country decor, one of the best restaurants in my opinion.

(Translated) Very disappointing! Air conditioning very noisy, wet room, several breaks in the room. What about the lunch not included ... Eggs poorly cooked and "garochés" in the plate, almost green bacon and not even the equivalent of a slice, old potatoes and not ragoutantes! I just did not eat anything because it hurt my heart! We will never come back! I do not advise under any circumstances! (Original) Très décevant! Air climatisé très bruyant, chambre humide, plusieurs bris dans la chambre. Que dire du déjeuner non inclus... Oeufs mal cuits et "garochés" dans l'assiette, bacon quasi vert et même pas l'équivalent d'une tranche, pommes de terre vieilles et non ragoutantes! Je n'ai tout simplement rien mangé car mal au coeur! Nous ne reviendrons jamais! Je ne conseille en aucun cas!

our experience at the Country chicken {Hearthstone Inn} was the golden broach ending our vacation in Cape Breton the room was very clean and comfortable big bed. Waking up with the view of quiet and peaceful river was refreshing and our breakfast at your restaurant was excellent food and service Thank you Pauline for your making sure we had all we needed We would recommend your hotel to our friends Thank you Irving and Rosana Stewart PEI

Worst motel that I've stayed at in a while. Dirty filthy and staff even new about malfunctions of our room . Be aware of room 117. Over priced!!!! Please renovate your motel or close it!
