We are so glad we selected H Bee for our home addition plans and redesign project. We’ve enjoyed how professional and well run the operation is (e.g. flow chart on day one explaining the process, team members who show up promptly as scheduled for site measures, responsive). However, the #1 reason Hailey is exceptional is her skill and expertise. Her designs have turned a bland 80s home to a dream home with stunning design elements, thoughtful details and truly functional spaces. She has carefully listened, responded and tweaked our designs to ensure they’ve turned out even better than we had hoped, while pointing out implications of adjustments along the way (eg changes to natural light, functionality of the space, etc). Would highly recommend her architectural services.

Hailey and the team at HBee helped my wife and I redesign our cottage for a massive renovation. From a total revamp inside, including major structural changes to a complete exterior makeover HBee brought our ideas to life. By listening to us and providing many different design options and concepts, Hailey and her team assisted us in adding more character to our basic cottage. They not only improved the layout and functionality of cottage, they also helped to create a new show piece that everyone will remember. The team at HBee handled everything from design to permits. Because of our cottage location we required permits from Trent Severn Waterways (Parks Canada), Kawartha Lakes Conservation and the City of Kawartha Lakes Building Department. Hailey and HBee seamlessly handled all coordination and worked diligently to revise or address any comments or concerns brought up through the process. The permit process did take time, through no fault of HBee, as a result of of COVID-19 and the many layers of Government involved. However, Hailey and the HBee team kept us informed, copied us on all correspondence and up to date with where we stood at all times. If it weren't for Hailey's efforts and persistence we likely wouldn't have our permits still. Thank you for helping us turn a dream into reality!

My husband and I have consulted with Hailey at HB Architectural Design for several interior and exterior projects on our century home in Stouffville. She is a brilliant architect who came up with wonderful, well thought out architecturally appropriate design options for updating and enhancing our home. Hailey was incredibly diligent in her research, ensured we had accurate visuals of our options, listened to us and worked with us to ensure we were confident with the plan prior to proceeding. We had accurate cost estimates which were reasonable. Communication was always timely. She looked after every detail in a timely fashion. and took the stress out of doing the renovation. She has a wealth of knowledge and great working relationships with may local trades and and suppliers to ensure fair pricing and excellent workmanship. Ben did the build out of our porches and everything was done efficiently, with care and to perfection. We continue to get so many compliments about the work that Hailey and Ben have done on our home. Follow-up was excellent. If we ever decided to move and build Hailey would be my fist and only choice as an architect - she is lovely to work with, extremely talented, inclusive, resourceful and ensures all work is done to her satisfaction ... an exceptionally high standard! . In our minds she is truly a superstar!

I have to give a lot of credit to Hailey and HBEE Architecture for making my project at 233 a success. We threw some interesting old vs new concepts in a restoration meets new build, as well as many needs for a young family home with modern amenities. Hailey quickly got different options in front of us and made sure to share that my wife and I should not hold back on what we don't like as much as much as what we like to come together on a vision that united my wife and I on a vision with HBee and our builder. Without Hailey and our builder this would not have been possible. HBee worked in our asks and also created some great ideas that we would never have thought of. Being able to change exterior colours/materials in the draft stages helped us have confidence in our direction and kept the process of building a home less stressful. Involving HBee in your project is a decision I strongly recommend.

H. Bee brought our cottage dreams to life! We purchased a lot in Haliburton and started working with Hailey in mid Sept of 2019. With a sketched out vision of what we thought we wanted. From there Hailey managed to capture our vision for a new a family cottage. She organized and cataloged all the random pictures, posts and magazine articles we sent and looked at several different cottages exhibiting features we liked. Over several meetings we were able to collaborate over sketches and markups until we came up with a plan we were all happy with. She encouraged us to think outside the box and consider some features that were beyond what we were considering. We did not go with all the recommendations but we certainly accepted and embraced several of them. Hailey and her team pushed hard throughout the approval process and as a result we had a building permit in place for January!! Hailey and her team also coordinate all the other aspects of the design from the Structural Engineer, HVAC, Truss Manufacture etc. She also embraced feedback from from some of our suppliers like Schell Lumber on various changes and efficiencies that could be made to improve our design. During the build there was adjustments and changes to be made along the way and Hailey was always just a text or a phone call away. Overall working with H.BEE was an amazing experience and we have recommend her to friends and family. H.Bee should be very proud that one of the magazines we looked at for ideas now features their work on the front cover!

Terrible experience. Would have given zero stars if I could. Meet with Hailey in February 2020. After 15 months and being told in Aug and Dec 2020 that she would be submitting for permit we gave up and started over elsewhere. Very unprofessional, we would go weeks and weeks without hearing from her. Constantly followed up with her and we could tell she would work feverishly on our project for a day or two then put in the back burner. Zoom calls literally from her bed, twice. One call on a Thursday, and she was headed north for an extra long weekend while we were waiting for her to provide updates Introduction to her husband Ben for the build, we went and meet with him. Following that we requested a budget price. After 2 months of waiting we followed up, never did get a price. Hailey actioned items with out authorization, and would just bill us for it after the fact, never even having a conversation about the extra costs. Don't make the mistake we made, save yourself the time, money and agrevation and find a true professional.

My husband and I contracted H. Bee Architecture to design a large addition to our century home in Uxbridge. We worked with Hailey from initial conceptualization and she listened carefully to our ideas and worked with us to create a balance of ”Old Meets New”. The project involved a great deal of complex engineering and design, as well as requiring a minor variance. H. Bee was actively involved for the entire process, including Hailey and another member of the team attending the review meeting with the town.
