Nate is amazing to work with as well as his crew. Nate came to my home to give me a quote on my backyard layout and was able to accommodate my design ideas beautiful. TheI work was amazing, I now have a stunning patio that I can host parties in the summer, I cannot wait to show it off. Not to mention the snow removal! I work long shifts as a nurse and knowing that when it snows the company has it all cleaned within the day takes a load of my back! I would recommend him to anyone ! Polite and precise. Other than a delay in the start date, I was blown away with the final product. In fact, the amount of work done and materials used exceeded my expectations! Nate was able to work within my budget and the product that was delivered was amazing, from the quality of the material to the colours that matched my house perfectly. Friends and family have given us a lot of praise and I understand many other neighbours in the area are asking for quotes. I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the amazing work crew. They worked tirelessly during long hot, humid weather to get the job done in a week. They were very professional and always asked if any changes needed to be done while the job was in progress. They also did my neighbour’s home at the same time. The materials and design match nicely, which makes for a smooth transition between our two houses. Acres landscape. We were one the of the first of the spring season to get the driveway widened done by Nate and his crew . Weather condition caused a delay in installation but well worth the wait. Last winter they did snow removal in a parking lot on Simcoe St.N. and Colborne St.W in Oshawa. I seen the snow removal truck on my outdoor camera plowing the snow from the parking lot next door right into our private parking area. By doing so, the plow scraped the top finish (crushed granite worth about $350 plus labor to install it) off in the process and left a huge pile of snow mixed with the granite to make our private parking area unusable. I contacted them, they send a guy out to assess the damage and I was told they would fix it as soon as the weather would permit it. A few weeks went by, the weather was mild - no frost - and still nobody showed up. I contacted them by email and got a very nasty response saying that I could take them to court and would end up getting nothing!! After another email from me, they agreed to fix it in the spring. Now it is December and still no word from them. Needless to say, in order to be able to use our parking area I had to get it fixed at my own expense. Very, very unprofessional to say the least! Think twice before you hire these guys to get some work done.

Both Nate and Heather were easy to work with during the planning stages, and Nate and the guys on his crew worked quickly while on site, which was important because our front entrance is our easiest way to get our special needs son and his wheelchair in and out of the house. I worked for Nathan at Acres very briefly. With over 20 years in the business much of that in a supervisory role for much larger companies. i feel confident i saying, i know what it takes to make a successful landscape company work. Acres is a small company ( they operate out of the garage behind the owners house ) and was by far the worst company ive ever seen !! Thier equipment is always broken the employees, when they do show up are drunk or high most of the day and management is an absolute DISASTER. The owner doesnt even have a drivers licence so when there is an issue on a job site he cant even get there to help !! At the time of this review ( february 2019) the owner ( Nathan ) is currently facing a long prison sentance so... the company may not even be around much longer If you want good quality work hire a reputable company that has been in the business awhile P.s most of the positive reviews you will read on google were written either by friends or employees of Acres

Scheduled an appointment to get an estimate on a job. They called and asked to reschedule as they couldn’t make it. I agreed to a new date and time but they didn’t show up. Pulled a no show. No phone call to date. If they can’t make an appointment can’t imagine how unpunctual they are once they have the job.

Terrible service. We agreed upon a date for the work to commence, and followed up a few days prior. No one showed up or communicated a delay to use. After reaching out, we were given excuses about the weather, and the work would start the following week. When I asked if they were confident in that date, I was told that if I didn't like it, I could find another paving company. I explained several times that I was just trying to firm up a date. That was met with more even more hostility. Poor service, bad communication and just plain unprofessional. This was from the owner himself. Beware.

Heather and Nate were a pleasure to deal with. I had a nightmare of a time trying to find a landscaper to fix my drainage problem. Calls unreturned or quotes promised and "no shows". Finally I called Acres and they were very prompt in providing a quote and returning messages. What an absolutely disaster of a company ! These guys dont have a clue !! They hire whatever riff raff they can find hanging out at the local tim hortons that morning. The owner of the company allegedly has had multiple impaired driving convictions. There are ALOT of professional companies in durham region, do yourself a favor.... HIRE SOMEONE ELSE !

This review is based on the service and product I NEVER received. Mainly because in the stages of attempting on multiple occasions to secure a start-date (7 phone calls over the course of two weeks) I was never contacted after signing the original contract. Despite speaking with someone this week who promised to provide details, I was never followed up with. The paving work was critical to other landscaping work that was supposed to start at the end of the month, which has now been delayed. If you are looking for any type of prompt service, look elsewhere!

By mid day on the third day, We were amazed to have Nate and his wife on the site working hard like anybody else to get the job done ahead of a rainy Friday. Nate then did a professional digital design. We love his vision. The proposed materials being modern in nature we loved the proposal and singed. These guys are classy. They showed up to pave and the grade was a bit high. I was concerned that I was not going to get the full thickness of driveway promised…. No problem. The digital designs were unlikely any other company. The artistic sense Acres Landscaping possesses is truly amazing. I'm so pleased with my home project. The paving only took an hour for the crew to do. We definitely have the nice interlock work on the street. Definitely not the cheapest but not the highest either. Well worth the money. I had an appointment booked no one showed up. I reached out by phone and email with no response. My response: It's funny how you have time to respond to my review in such a lengthy fashion but when I sent you an email asking if someone was coming to the appointment on Wednesday at 9am I received no response. If you can't handle your work load and your overwhelmed maybe you should hire some more people. And I feel very offended that you would think the time I posted my review would assume I do nothing with my life. I have worked throughout this pandemic and not from home my position requires me to be in person with no option to stay at home. I am part of the front line workers. For some advice next time instead of being rude maybe try to resolve the problem first instead of lashing out. Good luck with everything!

I had such a great experience dealing with Acres Landscaping & Paving. I contacted them mid summer to do my driveway and front entrance in natural stone. I was so impressed by the level of professionalism from the initial consultation down to having a meeting at the local landscape supplier with Heather. She showed me the difference between products and recommended a colour for the main brick filled area and then an accent brick and finally a border. She recommended all different tones and textures. We loved hearing all of the different ideas she had regarding colour blending and different textures then seeing how they worked together. Then she presented a digital 3D design her husband Nate had designed using our property so we could see exactly what our project would look like with our home. We were blown away and this is why we signed. The crew was overseen by Nate and when Nate had to leave he had a foreman Scott in charge. My husband and I are so happy with. The workmanship the crew was fast and always on time. And one thing we really appreciated was the constant cleaning of the street and job site. Our neighbours appreciated it as well! Our home is the envy of the whole street. We highly recommend working with Acres Landscaping.

We used this company for snow removal this past winter, not only did we find they didn't come often, they smashed my brand new planter $60. I followed up with Shawna, she said she did break it and would mail a cheque. I waited Trusting them, No one sent one. So then I followed up with owner. He said he would drop off a cheque under our matt and that he was "very busy". 6 months later. No cheque. No call. Very crapy service. Why should I need to hunt down money when they rightly broke it. Very disappointed. And non trust worthy. Their word means nothing!!!
