Very unprofessional. My client hired this company (who represent themselves as architects) to prepare drawings for a small balcony project in May 2016. I looked over the drawings as presented and noticed some errors that were brought to their attention. While this was not a huge issue, it did present some problems with inspection. My client was charged $1200 for the drawings and $400 for engineer stamps. Unfortunately they did not get an engineer to stamp the drawings. The used a BCIN instead. The balcony was constructed as per their drawings and failed the first inspection. The connectors they had specified were inadequate. They then advised my client that an Engineers report would cost an additional $500. The project manager, Deep, asked me for my input on how to rectify the situation. I provided him with a few options that I thought would work. leaving out the correct solution to test their credibility. After several weeks delay, he responded with the "engineers report" that he wanted $500 for that contained the wrong solution. I hired the engineer I usually use on these type of projects and fixed the issue and received a pass from the building inspector. They could have hired this engineer to do the whole project for less than Acadia charged, complete with an engineers report that the building inspector could not refute.
What really put me off was when I was told that their only concern was getting the permit, and that they cannot ensure that it will pass inspection as drawn. So basically if you want a kid with crayons to draw your plans, this is the company for you. If you want accurate drawings that will pass building inspections at a fair price, there are many better options out there.
