Roadtrip. Very decent wine for a large winery. From my own experience: The smaller the winery, the better the wine. This winery has a large variety of wines for every taste. Prices are moderate. Some of the red wines that we tried had a great bouquet, nice smell, and awesome aftertaste. I must mention the very nice label design. What else to add...very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Interesting design of the tasting center. Definitely the place to visit if you are in the area.

Our tour group visited the winery for a tour and it was our last stop. It was also the best in my opinion. The young wine expert brett (I think) did a fabulous job presenting the choices for the tasting and made the whole thing fun. He was cheerful, personable and very at ease. I was surprised when we told us he was new at his position. Keep it up! People really do make all the difference!

What a pleasant tasting, Lakeview is always on the top of our list of wineries to visit while in the Niagara on the Lake area. This particular tasting was made extra special by the attention of Nick who was very entertaining, enthusiastic and knowledgable. The wines are always delicious and enjoyable, And honestly some of the most generous pours in the region. For being one of the larger wineries they have a feeling of a smaller winery. We will definitely be back to happily purchase more of their wonderful varieties which IMHO are the best value In the Niagara region.

The tastings was one of my favourites during our trip — so much variety and flavours that will leave you wanting more. I highly recommend. Lakeview Wine Co. is within walking distance from Trius Wines and Wayne Gretzky. We will definitely be back!

We stop here when we are going to plays at the Shaw to pick up Moonlight Magic Vidal white wine that we can't get in Toronto. We're not wine experts but we had a little tasting last time we were there and the staff was really nice and put up with our antics.

Had the opportunity for ice wine tasting at this winery as part of a Niagara Falls bus tour. The representative talked about their winery and the different ice wine which was informative, and the highlight was of course the tasting itself. We were lucky to taste both white and red ice wine. It would have been nice to spent a little more time and have some food pairing, but this was just one of the tour activity not it’s focus. Beside with the COVID restrictions it may not have been possible.

The staff is great and personable. I personally thought the icewine to be too sweet, but I don't like white wine in general. Other people in our tour enjoyed/ bought some. I tried some of there red wines and enjoyed them well enough. Two of their merlots were really full bodied, which surprised me. You get your first red wine tasting for free, then you can buy a flight of three for $8. Overall, we had a good time.

I truly enjoyed my visit to this winery. I visited this place while on my tour to Niagara Falls recently. I was so impressed with the icewine, I bought the package they presented during the wine tasting. I would have given this location 5 stars but, didn’t because they neglected to seal my wine bag. I had to pay $30 at the airport while attempting to check in. The TSA rep explained the company was supposed to seal the bag and because they didn’t I have to check the bag or leave it. I was very upset about this. Because tourists are coming to visit the winery and will buy, the company should really provide this service.

We had a Groupon for the wine and cheese tasting. It was wonderful and so worth it. We went on to do the tours after. The guide, Andrew was so knowledgeable and easy to speak with. Lakeview’s “Cheese Please Tasting Flight” October 2021 was an excellent value. Service was very knowledgeable and excellent. $20 for 5 wines, each paired with a different cheese.

The wine is very good, ice wine too, which I thought I wasn’t a fan of in general. Big operation, so you can tour the inside of a warehouse and see barrels and silos. They do hundreds of tours though, so you’re just along for the ride: there’s no special feel to it. Store is modern and nice. Overall, I’d recommend it but you won’t fall in love with anything - keep other five starred wineries as your focus but stop in here if it’s convenient. It’s worth a quick trip. Good for pictures and a tasting.

Host offered no explanation of the wines I selected and instead spent the majority of my tasting flirting with some young women beside our group. Out of the 6 wineries we visited during our trip, this was easily the most forgettable. Definitely skip it if you're on a tight timeline.

We received a voucher for a tasting from the Ontario tourist centre. It was worth the trip. The tastings were generous and delicious. They had some interesting sparkling varietals as well as red and white ice wines. Service was excellent. They also recommended several other erroneous to visit in the area.

He just threw glasses of wine on our table and rushed away. Poorly served booked tasting and horrible service. It felt like they didn't really care if we were there.

I think it could do with a bit of a facelift…the radio station was blaring from one speaker - all in all the vibe outdoors could be improved. The wine tasting was great, we liked the Chardonnay and Grand Reserve.

We arrived to this winery with the private guided tour of 5 wineries on Aug 8. This one was by far the biggest winery and our last stop. Unfortunately it was total disappointment, host didn't really care about our existance, just dropped in front of us wine glasses and disappeared to chat with the tour drivers, we tried to ask what exactly we are tasting to ignorant no reply. Iit's too big to fail I guess. Compare to other 4 wineries visited that day, we didn't get comfy feeling and didn't enjoy the experience at all.

There for the ice wine festival and they included a sampling of a red as well as an ice wine which was a bonus compared to the other wineries. But the food pairing of pizza was a disappointment with a canned taste to the sauce (over-sauced) and dry-shelf parmesan. Need to step up their game to match some of the other food pairings in the festival.

Our visit to The Lakeview Wine Co. was on Aug 22, 2020. My wife and I were greeted at the entrance of the building where all social distancing and preventative measures were in practice. We were directed to the picnic area where the view was of the vinyard behind the winery. Other then the heat on an August afternoon the setting was quite nice. Our winesmith Ethan was quite knowledgeable and presented a five course tasting with cheese pairings (Cheese Please package). The cheese was pre-packaged and sealed and refrigerated as sealed so we were very comfortable with the safety from handling. The wines that were paired with the cheese were all quite delightful, two of which we loved and purchased. My recommended favorite is the Melbec. Thank you Ethan for a wonderful experience at your winery. We look forward to next year when we visit again.

We got lucky. There were a ton of wineries in this area, and we went to one of the best. Went to a fairly-large wine and cheese tasting (never did it before) where our guide was an engaging young lady who was very knowledgeable on all things wine and was on rapid-fire duty, answering every question we could throw at her like a pro. Then, we took a tour of the facilities where my wife and I were the ONLY people in the group, so it was us with the same girl before (Jennifer), who took us into where all the magic happens and gave us lessons on history, the wine-making process, the company's goings-on and its future. She was awesome, and we couldn't have been luckier.

I don’t even like wine. My GF dragged me here. We did the 5 pour “Cheese Please” thing. The guy giving the speech and pouring the wine, Eli, was great. I bought 3 bottles of ice wine from Lakeview a couple of weeks ago online via their website. Shipping was free and extremely fast. The initial order experienced an issues, but Savanah, the Customer Representative, was very apologetic and quickly rectified it. She shipped me a new order and asked me to keep the products from the first order. Very professional customer services and generous on part of the management. I will certainly buy from them again. Been here twice. The first time was a solo private tour and they seemed to be prepared and the wine pretty tasty. This most recent time was part of a larger group tour and the person handling the group seemed primarily focused on catering just to the ‘young - photo crowd’ in the group and would skip over giving everyone else samples to first go further away to give to them; and would also say things like ‘this is great for a boomerang video.’ I get they are trying to boost their online presence and social media following, but they isolate the rest of the crowd and don’t know their backgrounds (I ironically had more Instagram followers then them all combined but she targeted the one part of the group to make sure they got the best photos and first drinks and extra drinks even though we were all on the same tour).

The staff here is amazing and who knew that Dan Akroyd was in the wine business. I highly recommend the ice wine tasting when trying this winery. If your more a table wine person they have a wide variety of red and white wines to choose from.

Hands down one of the best wineries in the region that we have been to! Not just because of the fantastic selection and variety of wines to suit all different tastes, but the staff here are something special. My fiance and I booked a wine cocktail mixology class while we were staying in the Niagara region for our anniversary and had so much fun. The girl who hosted us (wish I could remember her name, might have been Rachel?) was incredibly hospitable, made several drinks for us, and educated us about how many of their wines can be used to make yummy cocktails. We enjoyed getting to talk with her along with the other staff during our visit, they were seriously some of the sweetest and most outgoing people we have met in our lives! In the end, we also found several different wines that stood out to us (especially their red ice wine!) and look forward to returning in the future.
