We had nauta make our house plans for a semi. The contact stated that the price included everything to pass code but the common firewall wouldn’t pass , so we were delayed for a while waiting for the new drawing and then they would not give us the revised drawings until I paid them an additional $350. I could have sued and won but didn’t bother. Also the basement walkout wouldn’t pass but I paid an engineer extra to fix that issue. Update I built the duplex immediately upon getting the plans approved, and completed the project within 6 months.it was 10 years ago but at that time online reviews were not possible.

Each time Hank and his staff demonstrate a vast knowledge of the OBC, latest design trends, clear communication, offering professional advice and additional engineering when required. Just want to say thanks to the whole Nauta team, to help me design and build this lovely energy efficient home. I got recommended to use Hank Nauta to help design my home by a friend that used Nauta homes to design his. When he told me that Hank showed up one day unexpected to see how the progress was going with his build ,that was enough to make my decision, that they really care to see people succeed building their home. I was definitely not disappointed they were always there to help with any questions to see thru I would succeed. Just remember they can only lead you to the river ,but you have to cross it yourself. We recently had the pleasure of working with Hank, Justin and the Nauta team. Each interecation we had was wonderful. From the first phone call with Brenda and with every email or phone call between Hank, Justin or Ryan. We worked with the Nauta team during Covid and we never felt as if the quality of service wavered. The Nauta team designed the perfect plans for our family and we are very satisfied with every aspect of the design. I think what I appreciated the most was that Hank understood this was our first time building and he always took the time to explain every aspect. He gave me knowledge of home building, defined terminology I did not understand and always listened to my concerns. We even had the team assist us with obtaining our permit which made the process much less stressful. With the help of the Nauta team we are on our way to building our dream home for our family!
