I'm giving 5 stars because Alex the plumber was so very pleasant, cheerful, competent and thorough. Our furnace service guy said he suspected a leak in the pipe leading to our water tank. A plumber came and said no leak, it was just sweating. So we called CDC to be sure . I know the company but had never actually had them to work on my home personally. Well, Alex from CDC was sent over exactly when they said he would be here. He did a thorough check, found a small leak, and soldered the pipes right away on the spot. No running off with the clock running or any of that BS some plumbers do, he didn't waste any time, something I really appreciate!

Poor and unresponsive workers. Disrespectful and thoughtless behaviour during Covid. Did not where masks while removing Kitec from condominium. Blocked elevator access for non-service elevator. Ignored repeated warnings from management to respect the residents. Absolutely horrendous attitude. Don’t hire them unless you really want endless hassles.

CDC 's Team is very hard work and professional and have done so many great work and so many building on time ! Well a little bit mess or some deficiencies is the part of the game ! Good luck

Cdc is doing our Kitec plumbing replacement. I was worried at first but so far everything has been clean and everyone is professional and following covid guidelines. This picture is from one of the condo washrooms near our condo gym. I like how they wrap everything so nothing gets damaged! We also got numbers of who we can contact Incase we have any questions.

Horrible experience! Last June, CDC was contracted by our building to complete the kitec replacement in all suites. It seems as if many corners were cut, and they were trying to rush to get as much done as quick as possible. We were left with a lot of issues, such as hammering from piping not being tied down properly, pieces lost from our shower, shower handle was broken, paint was dropped on our flooring, poor grouting job on tiles, this is only to name a few. They also failed to reconnect the water supply to the dishwasher, which we unknowingly used, which broke our dishwasher. Now over a year later, this is still not rectified & all we are constantly told is they will need to talk to the manager... yet the next time we bring it up no one knows anything again. This whole experience was extremely frustrating, bad communication & shoddy workmanship. Would not recommend to anyone!

I was recently visiting my friend in Scarborough recently. I thought the designs in the hallways were very cool. Since my condo might be doing a Reno, i asked who did theirs and my friend said CDC. He said the people in the building were very happy with their work. I would say the building went from looking like a 5/10 before renovation to a 9/10.

I really like how clean and organized they were. They covered everywhere they work. This includes the hallways and our unit. My head was at ease after seeing this! Great job ????????

This was the worst experience I could ever describe!! We were renting an apartment in Midtown Toronto and this company CDC did the worst job!! They broke our sink, put a big gash in our wall, scratches everywhere and left a colossal mess for us to clean up. It was like they had no respect for our property. They took 8 days to finish the job when we were told it would take up to 5 business days only. I heard that most people in the building had problems with the Kitec replacement and they caused extreme damage in many units including furniture damage and water damage. We moved out but want to warn anyone who uses this company for Kitec replacement. If we could sue them, we would!! BEWARE

My building recently had Kitec plumbing replaced. I was worried about my place getting ruined, but it all turned out fine. The workers did a great job, even fixing a leaky faucet and a few tiles while they were there.

If I could give a zero star review I would. I usually hate reading that on reviews, but it must be said about this company. My condo management hired them to replace the kitec in my building (mid-town Toronto). The actual replacement process is brutal as one would imagine - I had to leave my place for the week. That in hindsight was a huge mistake as I was not able to monitor the work on a daily basis. That said, I did return at a certain point and advised them of a few things, which they chose to ignore at that time. When the work was "finished": 1. The vanity wasn’t put back straight and is actually broken in one corner. 2. The shower leaks from the water handle. 3. A large nail sticking out of one of the walls they'd worked on. In addition: 1. There was paint on the floor. 2. Drops of plaster in many places – toilet seat, inside medicine cabinet, door frames, kitchen cabinets and floor. 3. Scratched walls and floor. 4. What looked like grease in the toilet. 5. Things left behind – some of their floor covering, about half a dozen nails just around, someone’s hat. I am still working on a resolution with this company and will update this post but I believe that people and buildings looking to hire them need to be aware of the quality of their work. I am shocked there aren't more reviews. UPDATE - the owners of this company asked me to update this review but unfortunately it still stands. If they actually rectify the issues I have will update but that hasn't been done. I recognize that this is work no one wants done but that's not the point. Don't bid low and then not be able to deliver.

Careless and sloppy execution replacing the kitec in my unit It concerns me that I paid and now have all this damage to my unit. I will need to have another contractor address the deficiencies. Gun shy about contractors after this experience. Contractors should not bid low and say they are capable of doing work they are not capable of doing. I should not have had to point out any of the deficiencies to CDC. I don't believe that I would have had these deficiencies after the work of a professional, skilled contractor . 1.The Canadian Design & Construction (CDC) workers haphazardly tore off the back board of the bathroom vanity. The nails should have been carefully removed so that the back board could be put back once the kitec was replaced. The vanity is damage as a result of the poor and rushed workmanship (caulking used to put the vanity back is was poorly executed and is already falling apart). 2. In CDC's first attempt to paint the ceiling, they painted over the caulking and tiles. The area that they painted looked extremely sloppy and unaesthetic like the paint job of an amateur painter. 3. The floor molding near the washer and dryer closet was knocked loose, probably from moving around the washing machine. 4. The caulking by the floor and wall where the bathroom vanity is sloppy and poorly done. The final job is not acceptable. 5. The shower rod was removed and left on my living room floor after Canadian Design & Construction had allegedly completed the work in my unit. They attempted to put the shower curtain rod up, but it kept falling down (never had this problem prior to Canadian Design removing it). The last attempt resulted in the rod being put up unevenly and without one of the rubber ends by a disgruntle employee. When I got home a part of the rod was on the floor outside my bathroom. The issue with the shower rod has not been resolved. 6. The machine was not put back in as it was before it was pulled out of the closet by the CDC workers. It took me quite a bit of trouble to set the machine to how it was before. Canadian Design did not have the skill to address the caulking and painting issues and in fact exasperated the problem when trying to address the deficient work. To address the fact that the CDC workers painted over the tiles and caulking by the bath while painting the ceiling, CDC repaint the ceiling. This second paint job left the ceiling bubbly and bumpy. They also painted other walls to match the ceiling and sloppily painted areas that did not require paint. When complained about the lumpy paint work, their solution was to repaint and repaint. Because their trial and error was causing further issues I could not authorize them to do any further work. CDC should restrict themselves to the kitec and have a professional do the repair work in a thoughtful, professional, rushed manner. I now need to find a trusted contractor to deal with the issues left by CDC. I was happier with my bathroom before Canadian Designed Construction came in for the kitec replacement. I did report the substandard work to a third party. Unfortunately I was not present during the inspection to point out the damage and the third party has limited scope to resolve the issue, especially considering that the skill of the contractor in question is very limited. The remains that it is my property that was damaged and my funds that was wasted and my honest opinion that the work is substandard.

I was hesitant to call another plumber due to my bad experience with my previous plumbing company who changed almost everything on my shower but nothing got fixed and charged me a lot. One night, I unexpectedly saw a truck in our building with CDC plumbing logo so I gave it a try. I was impressed when I talked to Basal who was so honest in explaining how they will deal with my plumbing issue without beating around the bushes. The service was so fast and efficient. The following morning, Alex (the plumber) was already knocking on my unit. In just few minutes of testing, he was able to tell us what the real problem was. The company offers not only the fixing of the plumbing but also cutting the tiles and re-installing them so I didn't have the problem of dealing with multiple contractors. The price was so competitive compared to other company. So I didn't suffer from spending pain. I will keep CDC plumbing company on my list and highly recommend to my friends who need similar services. Basal and Alex, thank you so much for your excellent and honest services.

Had someone from CDC come out today to my condo to replace an old faucet. This company works 24/7, so that was an added bonus. I was beyond impressed! Alex said he’d be there at 9am, and at 8:59am my doorbell was ringing. The replacement took no time at all, and he did a great job of cleaning up. I will gladly use CDC again for any plumbing needs that arise! Highly recommended! Living in Mississauga, it was important to me to use a local business. Knowing they are available 24/7 is a huge relief, as plumbing repairs aren’t a 9-5 problem. Alex was very professional and personable.

I recently lived through a Kitec plumbing removal at my downtown condo. I was nervous because I’ve heard horror stories about what a nightmare this process can be. I have to say, though, Canadian Design & Construction did a great job. They took less than a week on my unit and took great care to ensure my suite was left as they found it. I was so worried about my stuff being damaged. The furniture was protected and everything. I’d definitely recommend them as a contractor. They were efficient and neat.

Rob Shver

This company got contracted to do a kitec replacement in my condo. Almost 50% finished the 2 towers and they haven’t learned. The messiest contractor I’ve ever seen. Common elements are left dirty and dusty every evening.

Hanna D

A hard working and organized team, particularly the supervisor of my condos project Nadeem who was very helpful in solving any issues.

Yusuf Isik

They did a really good job renovating my condo units floors. They really are experts in the field and i would definitely hire them again for future jobs as they are organized and they really care about satisfying the customers wants and needs. Thanks for the amazing service!

Michael Penney

Alex is the man always helpful and get the problem solved hands down best service man I've seen and I'm a super of a 126 apt highrise

We had Kitec replacement in my suite. Very sloppy work. The paint was done without masking tape, freehand, so white paint from the ceiling stained the colour on the walls (The painter drew a line in white in one wall, apparently to "improve it" but only made it worse.) I showed this and other "mistakes" to the person in charge of quality control, he told me that because of Covid, they had to use a different crew, which is understandable, but it is not an excuse for having people who do not know how the work should be done. You can blame the crew, but in the end, it impacts on your company.

CDC recently installed the carpet in my condo. It looks amazing and myself and the other residents are so happy with the finished product. Our old carpet was so outdated and horrible. I even had family members comment on how bad it looked when they'd come over. I recommended this company to my cousin, who has the same issue at her condo.

Sadiq Habib

Overall, I am most happy with the works that they done in my unit. I will recommend this company to anyone.

Shahab Poshtkouhi

Truly agree with the other reviewer, the work they have done is very rushed and by cutting the corners a lot. Even if you hire this company for your work, you need to apply very direct supervision on the job.

Lyndsay Gould

So happy with the work this company did on the party room in my condo building. We hosted my mom’s 85th birthday in there last week. Beautiful colours and artwork, and gorgeous furnishings.

Jazmine DaCosta

Overall a great experience. Workers were on time and removed the Kitec plumbing from my unit. They were also able to educate me as to why it needed to be removed - something my condo board failed to do. The work done was great, but a little more attention to the cleanup would have helped make this a 5 star review. Overall I would recommend.

Matthew Bailey

My unit had its Kitec replaced replaced in mid-town Toronto about a month ago. I was worried at first as it is a big job. The work took a little longer than expected, but that is normal during renovations. The workers were very polite and did great work. With young kids at home, I was worried about a lot of dust, but the CDC employees did an excellent job of cleaning up. I highly recommend their services!

Ronald Hollis

The lads did a good job on the removal of our Kitec plumbing. Arrived on time and were pretty efficient. Some reviews on here say they were messy, but that was not my experience. My friend has a building needing the same work, and I will definitely recommend this company.
