This is very well stocked store with a good variety of items. I am new to town and it has been nice to be able to just rely on this one store for all our needs. The staff has been really helpful and friendly when needed. Special shout-outs to the chatty cashier from Newfoundland that let me know about the pineapple and lime Crush from the east coast and Jocelyn in pharmacy who was super patient, nice and helpful when I was switching my prescriptions from another pharmacy on a Sunday morning. Since I work from home I don’t get to interact with people in person very often and trips to this store are a highlight of the week.

I absolutely love the service here. It doesn’t matter if it’s a stock person, cash or manager, every single person greets you with a friendly smile and asks how you are. They don’t make you feel bad for a cart full of groceries or if you go in late. They are in general warm welcoming people that make shopping there a wonderful experience.

This was our first visit. Clean, bright, well laid out store. Helpful and friendly staff. Good selection of products. Competitave pricing. We have a person in our household who has celiac disease. The selection of gluten-free products was encouraging, and we can only hope it will expand.

As one of two grocers in a small town, I think Save-On does a good job balancing their pricing & sales. We don't shop at Save-On as often since No Frills opened, but we still get prescriptions filled at the excellent pharmacy in the store (which usually means we take care of part of the grocery shopping while we wait, just for convenience). The store is bright and nicely laid out, and offers lots of choices in food products when compared with the sometimes limited selection at No Frills. Save-On's fresh produce section is larger as well.

Great place for produces, meats, seafood, deli and bakery goods. However for dry and frozen goods it's better to go to No Frills for better prices. Still the better of the two supermarket in town.

I didn’t get why this name? Save on food with ridiculously high prices? Even with discount prices are higher than highest price in any store where you don’t save on food. For such prices they could at least change old nuts sometimes, as you can’t check the due date, bringing it home, and it’s stink like those nuts overdue minimum a year. Do something before to charge that high, and change name on Waist on food!

Thanks 4 the self checkouts ???? In such a small town, Most of the women don't like me because I stand up 2 others! I'm sick of their pettiness and want to pray 4 them but Don't tempt me???? But I'm not at Save on, Kitimat for others I'm there because there are other wonderful employees at this grocery store ???? With this said, I love self checkout!????????????????????

Best grocery , pharmacy and quality of product and service superior to any other store in Kitimat BC For the most part people are made to feel they are important to this store. We have been treated very shabby by the other grocery store in our town.

We like the store. It is clean and people are a nice. Only this week we could not get bags of onions, which was on sale in weekly newspaper. We made 3 special trips for that reason and the onions were never there. Any idea why? Thank you for your reply.
