First off, let me say that the end result looks great, and the price was fair. So to start, I called to get an estimate and provided dimensions. I was given two prices, one including installation and one without. There was an approximate $120 difference in these two prices, so I chose to forgo installation. I was told someone would contact me in a few days to arrange to come view the space and get more precise measurements. When someone came out to do the measurements (he was very polite and timely, by the way), he told me that they only come do precise measurements when they are doing installation. This makes sense, but was not communicated on the phone. He then gave us a third price, which fell somewhere in between the other two. We then had to go with installation, which was fine. A few weeks later, the installers came and did not seem to be prepared. They did not bring any supports for the mirror which they said they required, even though they should have known exactly what type of mirror was being installed and where since someone had come out to measure for it. They asked if we had any, and I didn't know what they were looking for and our basement was under renovations so I told them to use what they needed. There were tonnes of lengths of plywood and mdf lying around, in various sizes, that were obvious cut-offs from the cabinets that were built, but they chose to use two of the four cut/sanded solid wood pieces that were going to be used for the frame of a glass door for one of the cabinets. This was nailed into our newly-finished and painted wall. The icing on the cake was when I went upstairs to make a phone call and came back down, I saw one of the installers using our toilet... we had yet to install the door to the bathroom. In fact, the toilet had been hooked up just days before so I guess we're lucky he hadn't shown up a few days earlier!

Fort Glass cannot be trusted!!! Without getting too specific, I am from Toronto and I work in the medical profession. My mother was a nurse. My father worked within the medical profession, and I followed in his footsteps. I now live in Kingston. I had some glass work done at my home. I hired Fort Glass. I was displeased with the quality of the work, and I wasn't very pleased with how their employees acted and behaved in my home and on my property. I believe the names of the two employees were Doug and Will. Doug was one of the most rude and ignorant individuals I have ever encountered and I didn't trust him from the moment he walked in. They took frequent cigarette breaks, got my floor dirty, performed shotty work and left cigarette butts all over on my property. I am a non-smoker, and did not appreciate their unpleasantries. When they were carrying materials and tools into my home I heard something bang and scrape up against the wall. Later when I looked at one of my walls it had a smudge mark, and the paint was chipped and peeled off in a few spots. I would describe them as careless, irresponsible and I felt they were overpriced. Their glass came with imperfections, minor chips in some areas, scratches, and some pieces were slightly hazy. I was not impressed. To top it all off I had a $50 bill sitting on my microwave in the kitchen. After they left, it was gone. I had no intention of giving them a tip. I thought to myself, "did Fort Glass steal my money?" I spoke with the owner of the company Rob Welsh on the phone and Rob was very rude with me. It was a big headache and my wife was pretty upset about the whole thing. Some of the glass they installed looked terrible and I decided it had to go. Fort Glass refused to replace the scratched and chipped glass, and refused to come back to install it for free, and I refused to invite their staff into my home again. So, I needed some more glass work done to fix the glass work that Fort Glass had initially installed. I hired Oomen's Glass and I was happy with their professionalism and the quality of work received. Don't trust Fort Glass. If you get Fort Glass to install anything, you will regret the experience and you may be left feeling like a victim rather than a satisfied customer.

They have high communication skills, competitive pricing and were to pleasure to do business with. Very pleased with the job and would happily call them again.

Takes forever to get an appointment to get a window replaced, and once you do get one they keep canceling with no notice until you call to see why they haven't shown up. Been nothing but a headache dealing with them been waiting about 2 months to get a 1 window replaced avoid this company . Update This is now 2 day straight of them canceling on me.

Asked for a quote and they said it would be a couple of days which is fine...then phoned a week later to get the quote only to find out they never had a chance to look at the job and wouldn't be supplying a quote because they're too busy...would have been nice if they were upfront and businesslike when I originally called..

Exorbitant pricing. If you want panes of glass cut and caulked for an antique window then this is not the place for you. Sorry guys but you lost a customer after that last debacle. Exactly the same service provided by one of your competitors for half + the cost.
