Being newcomers to the Kawartha Lakes area, along with doing a complete gut job on our new home, needles to say, we were feeling overwhelmed and a little lost. So, we started asking anyone who would take the time to listen, "Who would you recommend for a new kitchen and bathroom reno?" Got six different recommendations. After visiting them all, we landed with the Lindsay Design Centre and Kitchen and Bathroom designer Elisa Perrualt. From the moment we walked into the door we felt like we were back on the Danforth at our neighborhood pub. The showroom was filled with smiles, fabulous ideas and products. We felt welcomed, well informed and got loads of inputs. I was so happy with the products, service and overall environment I made them give me a job!

First visit to design our kitchen happened on Feb 1st. J had mentioned that it would take 3 weeks to put the sketch together. We did get a call on Monday March 22 that the plans would be ready by Friday March 26. It is now the next week with no answer or call. Shame. I would be leery to hire them assuming the install would be late as well. Not impressed at all. The word from us and all from our area will travel. Yours truely Gene Arseneau

I had my roof done by them nothing but problems and it's been over 2 years and they still have not fixed it ???? if you would like to see it let me know and I will give u my address. I have different colour shingles Do Not use them as if you have problems they will forget about you. ????

My new quartz countertops came with two seams. Very disappointed! When I complained to Design Centre, I was told I should have specified No Seams. Buyer beware. Will not deal with this company again!

They did my roof 2 years ago and had problems you still can see the missing shingles and how they patched them. Do not have this company do anything for you. If you would like to see my roof let me know as it is still screwed up and they still have not fixed it.???? check under Chuck Shumilak let me know if anybody would like to see how they left my roof

Horrible experience here. Building plans very overpriced! John has horrible communication and customer service. Went in for plans and was verbally told a price. Agreed and paid my deposit. Was waiting on the draft, when I needed a change on the original plan and was told it was no problem and wouldn’t be much extra. After months of no communication, I called to see if the plans were done. After all said and done I was $1100 More than what I was told. John blamed head office for setting the prices and he had no control. John Ireland also said he had no commitment from me and, I was d@*king around. He would only lower the price of the plans if I bought the supplies from them. Said he would take care of me and give me a great price. He advised he would get contractors to contact me for quotes as he was getting quotes for supplies for me. To this day I have yet to hear anything from him. I will not be coming back to this store or shop at any Home Hardware store after this disappointing experience. I recommend you get your plans elsewhere or expect verbal agreements that hold zero accountability to jack up prices on you. I regret taking this persons word on the price I was given. If you do go here, get a full disclosure quote so you don't get taken Advantage of. UPDATE: May 5th 2021 - Still no communication from any of the staff here. I will continue to ensure that everyone knows how poorly I was treated and that once they get your money, you are nothing to them!

We purchased a stock kitchen from the Design Centre and were delighted with the salesperson and the install process. Joe was very helpful in adjusting the layout of the kitchen (ours required a complete tear out), and ordering additional items, plus the countertop. Mark and Ron were very personable installers, and the completed kitchen is beautiful! Thank you Design Centre staff.

Terrible service I kept going to pay my deposit and Kitchen and Bath designer was never there and did not leave paperwork. Designer then said he would come to my home with contract and to check measurement's. He was 4 hours late arriving and then still did not bring the contract. The company has now said they completed the job but the tiling job is sub par it took 3 weeks longer to complete then they said (Two Day Job)and they were a month late in starting the job to begin with. To top it all off with this company they are now trying to charge me thousands of dollars extra over and about the original price!
