I never once considered when starting to work with Perspective Views that they would be the cause of the most stress and additional expense in my construction project. The worst of many problems was the inability to meet deadlines or to communicate effectively about them. In looking back at email and text communications, I can count at least five dozen deadlines that Perspective Views themselves gave for delivery of certain items, which they then missed without giving any communication that their own deadlines would be missed. It's difficult to communicate just how stressful it was to have days, then weeks, then months go by with key project requirements hanging in the wind, requiring work to be stalled and expenses adding up.
If Perspective Views had taken ownership of these delays and communicated effectively about what was happening, we could have made adjustments on our end that would have significantly reduced costs and our stress. Unfortunately, our requests for even basic communication around scheduling and updates was usually met with silence, or at best, more schedules that weren't met.
I can guess that they just took on too much work at once, and as a result, my project suffered. But again, the communication wasn't there so I can only guess as to why things went so poorly. If considering working with Perspective Views, I'd highly recommend making sure your contract covers all bases in terms of communication and deadlines. I'd also recommend getting second and third opinions from other architects or designers to ensure Perspective Views has the technical understanding required to meet the specific challenges of your project. Any gaps in understanding or planning can quickly lead to significant cost overruns.
