This was the best service, quality work, and home upgrade experience we have ever had. From the first time we met Carl, to when the work was completed, we could not have been more impressed. Carl was and stayed involved all the way to completion of what they ended up naming our “Backyard Escape”. Carl laid the foundation and cement pad for the new home gym/cabin, then introduced us to Marc who then oversaw the finish landscaping which included spectacular new plantings of cedars and a crabapple tree, and impressive carpentry of the new fences and gate. They saved and replanted all our best mature plants and shrubs with real attention to finishing details that included quality mulch and river rocks. In the background Carla paid attention to every detail, ensured clear communication and coordination of all the work and financials as well which we really appreciated. Somehow they have created a full service landscaping company with a culture of excellence, quality, and fun. Everyone of their staff seemed to really enjoy their work, were very good at it, and liked being part of the Silverfern team. They clearly attract the best. They also ALL had excellent taste and sense for beautiful design. They did truly deliver us a backyard escape! We highly recommend Silverfern. We have used Silverfern's winter and summer services for the last two seasons and have been extremely pleased with their work. In fact one of our neighbors asked if we had a heated driveway because it is always so clean of snow.

Snow removal services are terrible! Show up 10:30 at night when less than half an inch of snow down then dont return until late next day after bulk of snow arrived overnight, morning and afternoon. Meanwhile residents’ safety is jeopardized as we contend with all the overnight, morning and afternoon snowfall as we attempt walking, driving and parking. I thought snow contractors were supposed to clear early mornings ... not this group. Perhaps a Guelph firm doesn’t work well for a Kitchener property? Clearly our building is not a priority for this contractor. (Snowcat driver spends a good lot of his time parked around the dark side of building upon 10:30pm arrival enjoying multiple smoke breaks.)

It was a very pleasant experience to work with Carl and Carla at Silver Fern Landscape Group. They do very high end projects and used Porcea Stone supplied by Stonearch on a commercial project and since then using Porcea Stone on other jobs as well. The workmanship is great and they do award winning projects. So glad to come in contact with them .
