We recently had our house rebuilt and required some site grading and drainage changes. Davidson Site Works built a retaining wall, installed a French drain & swale and bulldozed our back jungle to create a lovely garden. The results are amazing!!! Brian and the team were very professional and worked continuously during some of the hottest days of the year! We are very happy with all the work they did for us and we would highly recommend them. Work by Brian Davidson was characterized by ‘great care’. In designing the deck, attention was paid to our original ideas and vision. Several possibilities were sketched out by Brian, allowing debate, consideration and then a ‘narrowing in’ on what would be produced. Plans were drawn up to code. Manual labour to break apart an old cement porch was staggering; Brian barely flinched. Unexpected old porch footings demanded a second iteration of plans … in both cases Brian’s detailed site plans ensured the permit process. Room was made, in the project, for the owner’s contribution of labour … it was here that Brian’s attention to site safety and flowing contribution of ‘tricks of the trade’ were most obvious and appreciated. Constant offering and incorporation of ‘best construction means’ and ‘artistic possibilities’ made for a product that exceeded expectations. Clean up was part of each day’s work and, at the end, meant the deck and yard were immediately ready for use. A great experience of a craftsman at work.

Brian and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with. From design to install, their communication and professionalism was the best I've seen from any contractor I've used. The project took about a week. They were prompt and respectful of my home. Brian kept me updated through the project and despite inclimate weather the team was always upbeat. When they finished, my yard looked better than when they started. I can't recommend them enough! Payment was easy through cheque or etransfer, and the costs were split through the project which protects both sides in the arrangement.

Brian and his team were very professional, and extremely accommodating. Brian is personable, honest and pleasant to work with. He did such a great job putting in the steps to my backyard, that I had him back the next year to plan, quote, and install my backyard patio, front walkway, front garden bed, as well as a small retaining wall along side of my driveway. He took the time to review my plan carefully, pointed out potential issues with grading and proper water drainage, then made suggestions to the plans to overcome these issues. His attention to detail was definitely reflected in the end result. I wouldn't hesitate hiring him again for future work.. worth every cent!
