Forgot my hard hat, gloves and glasses in Sudbury. Needed my PPE for a mine site delivery. They let me in 10 minutes early and they grabbed exactly what I needed quickly. They could've grabbed the more expensive stuff, but, this was going to be a one time shot. I couldn't be happier. The price was awesome too. Great service, friendly staff.

We just had 8 windows and a door replaced and some other minor exterior work done. The workers were great and respectful in the house and very friendly. They did a good job and were very considerate because they had to contend with working around me (as I work from home). But the real star of the show was Mike from the Sales team. He was so thorough with our quotes and provided excellent service. He was so friendly and knowledgeable and provided some of the best customer service. He even stopped by at the end of the job to make sure all was good and thank us for the business. I can't say enough good things about him!

The gentleman at the counter was very helpful, and gave me some great advice. He told me I could pick up the drywall by driving around back. Once in the back I was directed to the warehouse, where 2 workers walked out after seeing my drive in. Over the next 20 minutes employees walked by, and blatantly ignored me when I tried to get their attention, or my personal favorite: One man saw me waiting in the warehouse, and thinking I hadn't seen him, stepped behind a wall, took off his vest and walked out. After leaving my truck in the warehouse, I walked out into the yard to find help, and spotted 2 employees talking near the back. As I got closer to the back, they walked into a building, and when I entered the building 10 seconds after, had mysteriously disappeared. I returned to my truck, and waited until two more trucks drove in, then refused to move. After 30 minutes of waiting, the employees that had avoided providing the service for which they're paid for, were forced to do their job. Horrible Customer service. Having failed to effectively provide me service, I hope that you'll feel free to go service yourselves.

My husband and I were just in soo mill looking for quotes on a 24 by 30 and 30 by 30 garage packages with and without lofts. When we approached the man we would be dealing with for quotes he seemed "bothered" by us. Once I told him what we would like quotes for he said so you want 4, 5 or 6 different quotes. I said no I want one on a 24 by 30 with and without loft and quote for 30 by 30 with and without loft. He rolled his eyes and was shaking his head and began writing. I said I do not need to be treated like that and that I would go somewhere else. I am very disappointed with the service as I wanted to support a local business and I have only heard good things about soo mill :( -every other business we have gone to were very happy to help us and quote as many different sizes we asked. I guess when you cannot get prices on websites you should expect to do quotes on different sizes...just saying

The Soo Mill is a great building supply store. When I was first getting my cottage project off the ground I called Nancy in Elliot and from the get go it was all good. I asked her if she would price match, she said that they would no questions asked. So, I had all my materials priced out from two places (a big box store and another lumber yard). When I got my price list from Soo Mill it turns out their prices blew the prices I had out of the water and I didn't even have to price match hahaha. During our build, Nancy was so helpful and always happy to talk to us. Our orders were on the jobsite on the days she told us they would be and never later than 9am. Also, we had various times where we needed stuff brought out to the site midday, and they did that too, no problem whatsoever! Everyone has been so awesome, from Head Office in the Soo to the delivery drivers and the yard workers, they all made our build go smoothly! As for the comment about making it more like a corporate store...please don't, we love you just the way you are!

Soo Mill is the place to go for all things construction. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, and lots of inventory. In these strange times we call COVID, theres not much we can do about lumber prices (supply vs demand scenario), but you can be assured, Soo Mill will have competitive prices with any retailer in the area. A worthwhile stop if you're building!
