Gillespie Horticulture offered a fair price. They arrived on time and completed the job of landscaping and gravelling my parking pad professionally and swiftly. I also use them for winter snow removal. I'm a senior with an infirmed spouse, so having a company like Gillespie's that I can rely on is super important to me. I give them 5 stars.

Horrible experience dealing with Gillespie horticulture! I ordered 5.5 yards of garden soil to start my first vegetable garden that I was excited for. Upon delivery they asked where I wanted the soil and I said that if possible to put it in my garden bed but if not, to put it wherever they think is best to only have them rip 2foot ruts into my front yard!!!!! First all who puts soil on someone’s lawn?! Soil is impossible to shovel off of grass. Secondly if the truck driver knew the ground was soft (which I mean, he should right?! He does work for a horticulture service) then why did he try it and rip up my front lawn! I had to use 1.5 yards of the soil I purchased just to fill up the holes they made which is $60! After my hubby called Gillespie about the issue they told him they would call him back and we never heard from them! After going to Gillespie in person, we were basically told that the ground is soft and there’s nothing they can do. Hours and hours of bickering about the incident, they decided they were going to deliver us another 1.5 yards to compensate. Yay, they done what’s right....not really. They delivered what they “call” soil which is an understatement if you ask me! It may as well have been the dirt you fill your driveway with!! Not the premium garden soil that they sell for $40 a yard. I will never go to Gillespie for anything again and will be telling everyone I know to do the same! I heard they were crooks but I never believed it and wanted to support local, especially having gone to the same school as Michael. If you can’t even trust his “horticulture business” with something as simple as soil, then how can you trust them to landscape your property!!

A year ago we hired MGHS to do a massive post-Dorian Spring cleanup on our yard and garden, as well as a new paver front walk, a gravel driveway renovation, and a deck replacement. The transformation of our yard was amazing, we got a number of compliments on the work that was done. Working with Mike was a pleasure, and he had great ideas on how to solve landscaping problems. We were also really pleased with all they employees, who were hard-working and conscientious, as well as friendly and fun to talk to. We just had another Spring cleanup this week which included some tree pruning, and we were amazed at how much work a small crew could do in a single day. The yard and garden look great and we are ready for the growing season. And the guys on the crew were great to work with and really knew their stuff. Thanks to Mike and Althea and all the great MGHS employees for a job well done!

Had Mike and his team do some extensive work to our property, re-landscaped our entire back yard, new windows on the house and a new deck built. The work they have done is beyond what we expected. Even our neighbors who watched the work get done were extremely impressed!! My wife and I are more than happy with the job they provided! Always on time, always communicated what was being done and when, and they even re graded our driveway for us after the work was completed. I have dealt with Gillespie Horticulture on several occasions. They are definitely my first "go to" when I need a rental mini excavator for my projects. The machine arrives clean and serviced when they say it will and it's ready to go to work. Their employees are helpful and explain the machine upon drop off. Althea and Mike (the owners) are great people and they strive for giving it their utmost best when it comes to customer satisfaction. I enjoy doing business with Gillespie Horticulture and intend to for years to come. Yes, they also support local businesses which is great. ????????

I ordered 3 yards of garden soil to start a new vegetable garden last year - they delivered the soil on time, in a very convenient location for me to move the soil to the new garden boxes and the soil was incredible. The soil was top quality, no weeds, no rock, the garden grew incredible vegetables - I absolutely recommend Gillespie Horticulture for garden soil and will use them again this year for more products.

Had a massive stump removed from my yard! The company was so quick to respond to my questions and give me an initial assessment. Once I made my decision on how I wanted to proceed, they were by in no time to start the job. Job was completed as requested in a timely manner, and everyone I talked to/dealt with the whole time was so professional. Will definitely be recommending them to the neighbours !

When we had our home built in 2012, Gillespie Horticulture created our driveway as requested using paver bricks. Very stylish and unique. Over the years, the pavers had settled somewhat in one area and needed attention. In 2021, after contacting Gillespie Horticulture, the work was done on time, on budget and professionally, with minimal disruption and fuss.
