I went into this location in September to inquire about a problem I was having with my phone. This is a known problem with Samsung Galaxy S4's, and I was initially told with very little help to rectify the issue to just buy a new phone. I left with absolutely no help from them at all. I went back in a few days later with the same issue happening, and was told that since my contract had expired and I had no warranty that there was nothing to be done. I inquired about the Samsung Protect that I was paying for, and why I was paying it if there was no solution. The girl at the counter then told me that it was useless to keep paying for it, and she cancelled it right then. I just recently called Telus for a separate issue and decided to ask about the money that was being paid for a service that was useless since January till September. The gentleman on the line told me that there was no reason for that location to cancel the Samsung Protect and that I could have had my phone fixed or replaced had the plan not been cancelled. I am very disappointed with the slow service and lack knowledge of the products this store sells. I will not be using this store location for any reason in the future and I implore anyone else that plans on using this location, to save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere.

The outlet at Cliffe and 17th in Courtenay was great. The staff member i spoke with was both courteous and knowledgeable. My issue was a little unusual in that I needed to have an older phone reconnected while my new phone receives a new front glass lens. The transition was smooth and i am very thankful for the problem solving.

Exceptional service, yet again. The atmosphere in the store is professional yet casual and easy going. You can tell the ladies enjoy their jobs. I dealt with Cassie and she is very knowledgeable and knows the products well. She ensured my new phone and contract matched my needs. I wanted a case for my new phone as I didn’t want to leave the store with it unprotected but they didn’t have the case I wanted. Cassie when online and found the case I preferred but it was going to be a couple weeks before they could get it into the store. She called another store, south of Courtenay, to inquire if they carried the product. They did but it would take a couple of days. Cassie knew I was apprehensive about leaving with my phone unprotected so she provided me with a lender case to use until mine arrived. I was thrilled as I was prepared to purchase a case I really did not want. Cassie went above and beyond what I was expecting and I left a very happy customer. I would highly recommend this business to everyone as ALL the staff are very helpful and friendly. She found me the phone I wanted, switched my service over, added the items I needed and completed it all quickly, and competently - all the while chatting with me. Not the first time she has provided this excellent service - Sydney has completed our family’s phone upgrades, stick-handled our issues, and advised better plans and extras for every phone we’ve had for 15 years. I recently moved from the North Island to Victoria and still drove back to Courtenay to have Syd take care of my phone. What seemed like the worst possible situation to find myself in... My phone in for service, my old fall back phone that I was depending to get me through, didn't. I walked in frantic 20 mins before closing. Before I finished my story of despair, a smiling face passed me a loaner with my SIM card already loaded..Done in 10 mins! Awesome experience!

I was very Happy with the service, I came in to the store to have the smart switch done after my phone had a factory restart. I was assaulted by a client leaving the store about my dogs and how I was going to kill them leaving them in the car. They were in air conditioning. The store clerk said to bring them in, I said really I have 2. She said no problem. So I just waited calmly until Jeven approached me. He said it would cost me to have him do that but really it was worth it .I have no idea what to do sometimes ???? So thanks Jeven for your patience with my barking dogs????

Sydney was patient with me and very helpful in answering all of my questions. The continuous service I receive could not be topped. Not only in setting up my cell plan and saving me huge amounts of money, but also looking into my home internet service and getting me a better package for much less. I strongly recommend Sydney as an individual rep, but the entire store to anyone I cross Paths with. I was sent an e-mail from Telus saying that they were going to increase my fees and change my mobile phone package. The Tom Harris Telus store said they had received many of these complaints and after looking at my plan said that it did not apply to me. Low and behold a little over a month late my plan changed and Telus tells me that I was given bad advise and that the change in plan did apply to me. I would like to add that I got this advise after being on hold with Telus for almost an hour (17 minutes first and then transferred to someone else where I was on hold for over 40 minutes!). In general Telus service is terrible in my oppinion.

I went in to switch my cell service from Telus to Koodo. I directly asked the person helping me if there was a way to waive the $35 fee; she said no, so I made the switch in-store. The next day I found out from a friend that the $35 fee is not charged if you use self-serve online to set up the account. anyone with even a basic familiarity with Koodo (and certainly someone whose JOB it is to know the plans) should know this, and she should have offered me that option. I was able to get the fee reversed by calling Koodo, but I should have been given the information up front. I won't be back to this store to transact any business.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this location. Being in the customer service industry is never easy and they handle every aspect very well. I made the switch from iPhone to Samsung today and Melissa made the process so easy for me. Answered all my questions and transferred all my information !
