They came to renovate my kitchen, dining room, living room and master bedroom back in 2019. I met with the designer and the contractor at the same time and we agreed upon a price for the whole thing. The price was 20 grand above our budget, but since we could spare the extra money and they seemed to be a good choice, we agreed. Everything started smoothly, but halfway down the renovations, the contractor quit! From there on out, things started to go downhill. They seemed pretty disorganized without that one contractor, and maybe because of that, mistakes were made. They couldn't find a plumber to install my brand new dishwasher, so one of the guys did the work. First day I used my dishwasher, it started to leak on my brand new kitchen floor! They called in a real plumber after I complained and this guy didn't want to tell us what went wrong. Finally, he did, and the plumber said that the other guy (the guy who was not a certified plumber) had made the wrong connections with the tubes. For the paint job, I was expecting to have a whole team working on all the walls. They had to clean, sand and prep the kitchen, dining room, living room, hallway and master bedroom walls for the paint job. That's a lot of walls! Who do they send? Some guy who looked like they pulled him out of retirement. He didn't do a good job and the paint team that came after painted over walls and doorways that had not been well prepared. They also inadvertently damaged my heater (I heat my house with hot water) by cutting the cable connecting the heating machine to the thermostat. I had to contact the heating company who had to repair the damage, but Groupe Cartier owned up to their mistake and they paid for that. But at the end of the day, I like the design of my kitchen. My living space is prettier despite the few flaws here and there. Since I still liked the job they did, I contacted them again for the renovation of my bathroom. I have a tiny bathroom and I have a limited budget (the pandemic has been hard for everyone), but the girl at the phone said that a bathroom renovation was gonna brings us down 30 grand! What?! For a bathroom that measures 3 square meters?! They can't be serious! For comparison, here's the job they did on my kitchen. Without the appliances, that was a 20 000$ job. The appliances (fridge, dishwasher, stove, microwave) were bought at Home Depot for around 3 000$. Right next to it is my tiny bathroom and they want me to pay more for that small space?! I think I'll hire someone else...

Bad, very bad. Saw the workers taking alcohol into the premises they were working on. When we confronted them about it the foreman told us it was for "apres le travail". The tenant upstairs (my neighbour) was left without hot water for six days. They're messy, and work very very slowly.
