DESCRIPTION

We have all the opinions of real people who are using the services and products of Captain James Cook National Historic Site (Architect) in the area close to Corner Brook (Canada).

Currently the business gets a rating of 4.7 stars over 5 and this rating has been based on 127 reviews.

You must have seen that the average score it has is nearly the top, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may be quite sure that the assessment is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, it works.

You know that we do not usually stop to set scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

This Architect belongs to the category of Tourist attraction.

I went here while visiting the town of Corner Brook and I am very happy that I chose to visit this site in particular. It has a breathtaking view of the whole town and you can see the ports as well as some ships going by too. You feel like you're on top of the town when you're here at this lookout. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is visiting the town of Corner Brook and wants to take a nice picture for social media.

Tim Hawkins

Great view. Nice statue. Excellent spot to walk the dog and/or have a picnic. My only wish is that there would have been more history on Captain Cook.

Nice view of still functioning Paper mill and small section of Corner Brook City. It has lots of history & science information boards about how charts of Newfoundland were done by famous explorer James Cook. Stationary binocular was a great fun.

This is one of the most beautiful Lookouts in Corner Brook. You have the view of most of the city and if you wander off the broken trail you'll be able to see out the bay. While you're there you can get to learn a little bit about Captain James Cook and how he came to discover Corner Brook. There are walking trails there to and if your lucky enough you'll get to see one of the few rabbits that are up there!

Sebastian Kluth

Captain James Cook National Historic Site isn't as spectacular as it sounds. There is a statue of James Cook and a few plaques with information about his accomplishments. You can also have a view of the city of Corner Brook and its surroundings. A little museum about James Cook would clearly be an interesting addition to the site.

Evan Hardy

Beautiful views of corner brook.

PAUL L.

Nice area offering wonderful view of Cornerback and interesting history of Cook's exploits.

Great hilltop view of the water, city, and mountains. Worth a visit if you're passing through, whether or not you care about the Captain Cook historical plaques.

Intetesting little site with a great view, listen out for the local birds that sound like a guy whistling for his lost dog.

Recently spent a night and day in corner brook after we cut our trip short to Gros Morne (due to poor weather). I grew up in Corner Brook but hadn't been back in quite some time. I was very pleased to see the town has made some great improvements since I lived here, including this tourist attraction. The little trail going to different outlooks was well done and of course the view of the surrounding area from up above was beautiful. The information that was on display throughout the area was EXCELLENT and well done. I would suggest that the town use the area for outdoor events and possibly build a small stage area. This would increase the usage of the area and take advantage of the fantastic view. On a busy day I could see parking being an issue but only if there was a really busy day there. Definitely check it out if you are the area, well worth it.

This is well worth the drive for the beautiful scenic views from Captain Cook’s Monument. It offers a commanding view of the entire area of corner Brook and the harbor. Well worth the visit.

They really need some more signage up around the city so tourists can find it. I went to the Visitors Information Centre and the directions they gave me were horrible, I had to get directions from the Railway Society on Riverside Drive to find my way there. I think on my drive there, I seen maybe two signs. Definitely not easily accessible to tourists however, when we arrived it was definitely beautiful.

CC W

Great view of the city. Nice small walking trails with some rocks to climb on for young kids.

jennifer russell

Kulwa Kulwa

Very good view of Corner Brook from the top... rolling hills into the ocean, fall colors to compliment the NL house colors as it's known. Can you smell what the Captain is Cooking!
