My husband golfed there 2 wks ago. Course was in excellent condition. Very pricey for seniors without memberships.
He has a membership at Glasgow Hills. His friends play at Green Gables & he likes to play as many other courses as he can afford.
In my opinion, all golf courses in Prince Edward Island should start giving GOLF DOLLARS to all seniors, whenever & wherever they choose to golf.
You should align your golf courses with accommodation venues where seniors love to stay. We stay where the accommodations are run by competent, courteous staff, that make each trip to Prince Edward Island
a pleasant, inexpensive adventure.
Our choice for over 15 years has been Kindred Spirits, Cavendish. Their accommodations are very versatile.
When we travel with family, (4 boys under the age of 14), they stay in one of the many cottages, with hot tubs, 2 bathrooms, access to an immaculate swimming pool, fire pits for those delicious Smores, we all love. Lots of sand boxes for the little ones to play in and swing sets for the older children.
Throughout the day, you will be very surprised to see giant, ice cold, jugs of homemade lemonade, unlimited pots of coffee and of course PEI Preserves Teas. (My favourite tea is Sleepy Time tea and their famous Hot Chocolate. These beverages accompany Canada Day Celebration Cakes & Cupcakes or cookies baked fresh, most nights, molasses and chocolate chip are my favourite - hot, right from the oven.
Kindred Spirits have 2 Inns on their property. My husband & I prefer to stay in the Inn, and when our grandchildren were younger, they stayed in the Inns also, because along with the above treats and delicacies - if you are lucky enough to book reservations in the Inns - you will be treated to the most spectacular Breakfast Buffett served each and every morning. Hot and cold cereal assortments, fresh fruit, Yogurt, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, 8-10 different kinds of fruit juices, along with ice cold milk - these are unlimited. The Buffett is different each day.
Blueberry pancakes served with cream cheese and a hot, fresh blueberry sauce on top is a favourite of my grandkids. Each day, various kinds of muffins (blueberry, cranberry, carrot, bran with raisins are my favourite.
All of the treats and the Breakfast Buffett are included with your reservation if you stay at one of the Inns.
The Inns rooms and suites are filled with antiques, linens and quilts that are elegant.
To welcome their guests to their Inns, Inn Keepers, Becca & Dan leave boxes of Ann of Green Gables Chocolates in each room and suite in the Inns.
Staying with Becca, Dan and their amazing staff is like visiting with Grandma and Grampy.
