I would have loved to review this company based on work done but after 4 attempts to contact them (3 emails, 1 phone call) no one responded to me. I appreciate it's a busy time of year but ignoring potential customers is not professional.

We had NLG out to our home during a renovation so the backyard was a total disaster. That didn't affect Dave and his process at all. After checking out our place, asking us questions and getting to know us, he drew us an amazing sketch (even to scale) of what our backyard could look like. It was awesome to combine his skills and vision with our vision to see our space in a whole new way.

When my husband and I decided to sell our vacation property and create an outdoor destination in our backyard, Natural Landscape Group (NLG) was a natural choice! Our aging pool was in need of significant repair and we weren’t utilizing the backyard to its full capacity. When we initially met with Dave and Chris to discuss design options, we knew that we were in good hands. Through a combination of creative thinking and professional expertise, we developed a plan that worked for our family. The NLG team were amazing to work with. They were personable and professional throughout the entire phased project, exercising flexibility and skill when faced with unexpected changes and set backs, including COVID! NLG in one of the most unprofessional landscaping businesses I have come across. I met with them a month ago and haven’t heard from since! They don’t deserve any stars. We just moved to Hamilton and I reached out to them for a proposal to fix our front and backyard. Chris told me on the phone that I had 2 options of either going to their office in Dundas or have a 2 hour site consult with Dave to sketch out ideas for $400. I agreed to meet on site and when meeting with Dave, he basically sketched what I suggested for the backyard. As knowledgeable as he was in plants and landscaping, he kept naming the trees and plants he would put in the backyard without showing any photos, mention any prices or even colours of materials to have a point of reference so I can visualize it. He mentioned there’s 3D drawings that will be done but that’s included after we engage their services. Ok, that’s perfectly understandable, but he didn’t offer any other sketches or ideas except that he could possibly sketch out other ideas but would be for a much higher budget, insinuating that we wouldn’t be open to that. I asked for a more modern approach to the front yard and he offered a higher budget solution, so I said no problem, I’d like to see proposals for what it would be to refresh the front and one to design a brand new modern landscape. He didn’t ask any questions about our lifestyle, how we see ourselves in the spaces or even what our budget was. After an hour, he pulls out the machine and says “Ok, that’s $400 + hst” and I said, “Oh, I thought I had 2 hours?” To which he replied, “well, I’ve sketched out my ideas, I’ll get this back to Chris for a proposal and he’ll get back to you ASAP”. So, that was May 28th. It is June 28th today. I have not heard from either Chris after I’ve emailed, called and texted him. I understand that it’s summer and they’re busy with jobs. I’m in the interior design industry myself and I understand the process. But to be unresponsive to any communication or have no professionalism towards a prospective client makes me wonder what they’re like when you do business with them.
