Distinct Solutions Mr Johnston, was contracted to approve new home plans with a pool. A design was sent to Mr Johnston for approval. Mr Johnston of Distinct Solutions approved the plans and pool for submittal to CORD. CORD approved the plans and pool and issued permits accordingly. A pool contractor was hired and a deposit was supplied to the contractor for the installation of a pool as approved. The Strata council once aware of the pool installation had Distinct Solutions place a stop work order on the project. The end result Distinct Solutions and Matt Johnston should never have issued approval for the pool, they did not do their due diligence and did not have the authority to do so as a pool was not apparently allowed. They acted without professionalism, and approached the project being disingenuous and should be embarrassed for their actions which lost the client their pool deposit. Distinct Solutions and Matt Johnston acted without authority and are obviously not aware of the local codes and by laws.
