We can’t say enough about Joel and the Smpl Design team. We contacted Joel after seeing some projects he did around town as we too wanted to achieve a sleek modern look. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and overall passion for design gave us so much confidence. I can’t imagine how anyone could invest in a home without a true visualization. Smpl’s hd renders helped us choose the style, look, and materials to be used on our project. Looking back, we couldn’t imagine how we would’ve done this without them. We were able to maintain our budget through the choice of materials and visualize exactly what we were going to build. As the build progressed and we made some minor tweaks, Joel and the team modified our renders instantly so I could confirm with our trades this was in fact what we wanted to do and the look we wanted to achieve- No hold up on our end. We recently hired SMPL Design to help us put a plan together for an addition on our dated house. Joel and his team put together a fantastic layout that met all of the requests we had. He even took an awkward feature of our old layout and turned it into a interesting element of our new design. SMPL also came up with a great design for the exterior, drastically improving the curb appeal of our place. Joel was very available after the permits were complete to answer any questions we had and walk us through some last minute colour and finish changes. We had SMPL Design Studio work on two projects. We were struggling in our first home with how to finish our basement. We called SMPL and Joel came out and gave us different layout options and interior design suggestions. When we moved into our second small bungalow home and wanted to do an addition, to suit our young family, and change the facade to modernize our home we called SMPL again, and Joel and his team created a modern design that really suited us and our property. When ever we have questions, we contact Joel or his team and they quickly have a answer for anything we might need for the process. The came up with the design and really took our input into that process which was really nice, and helped us get through the permit stages and are helping to consult during the construction stages. Their vision and ability to come up with a modern and clean design is amazing. I will continue to recommend (and use) SMPL to anyone looking for design and project management services. The SMPL design team worked tirelessly to fulfill all those dreams and more. Joel spent countless hours meeting with us, coaching us, and helped us all throughout the build. Well after the design stage Joel still made himself available for any questions, advice, and referrals. Its beyond comforting to wake up to an email from Joel at 5:45am with the answers to your concerns. On the backend his diligent team took on all the coordinating of the permitting process, relieving us of all those headaches. It's baffling to understand how SMPL is able to devote so much time to their clients with their soaring success, and the scale and scope of most of their other projects. However they undoubtly do. SMPL in design yes, but nothing short of amazing when it comes to client care.
