Horrible customer service. They emailed me about changing my auto insurance address but never bothered to let me know it was expiring soon. I called them to change my address after I sold my house and cancel that house insurance policy so they knew I didn’t live where they sent my renewal papers but didn’t bother to tell me on the phone or by email. They just canceled my policy without telling me. When I called about it they said it was my problem, they have 2,000 customers and I don’t matter because I’m only one customer so they don’t bother to call people before cancelling their policies. I asked them to renew it right away and the girl lied to me and said I’d have to come in and sign papers. I went to another branch, told them what happened, didn’t have to sign a single paper at all, and the other branch says they give courtesy calls before canceling their customer’s policies. If you want to use The Co-operators for insurance go to any other branch but this one.

Should be zero. They have zero customer service skills. Went in and paid a cash payment on a Monday. Checked my bank on a Wednesday.. Guess that they tried to take that payment. Naturally it didn't go through since I already paid it.. Called them to sort the mess out.. Was told that's just policy and that's the way it is.. It was in my original paperwork that's that what they do. Since they've changed the service is atrocious. If that's what you do you don't take a person's money and not tell them you're going to take it out of their account anyways. So now I'm going to be out the nsf by both my bank and them for a payment that was already paid. Pretty awesome Oh person I spoke to refused to tell me when my renewal date was because she wasn't on that page.. That's some great customer service right there. Really wish this could be a zero that's what they deserve.

Everytime I talk to them there's another loophole or reason to charge me more and its exhausting. Terrible communication, nothing but constant excuses for why they literally can't do anything. At least when Brent was there, he listened and tried to help - all I have gotten in the past year is excuses and empty promises.

I have been with the Co-operators for 9 years and have only had my rates go higher and higher. I found a different insurance company and decided to switch 2 weeks into my yearly plan with them. Because of all of their HIDDEN FEES, I am being charged $140 for 9 days of insurance. Keep in mind, you are not made aware of these fees when you purchase their insurance. I went with this company because it was local, however I couldn't get ahold of anyone at my Co-operators (Chad Buell & Associates) to even discuss my rates so I had to call the toll free number just to cancel my contract. I will never go with Co-operators ever again for any type of insurance, and if anyone asks me I would not recommend them.
