Transat Travel (part of Transat Distribution Company) is an absolutely awful Travel Agency. Be aware that the network associated with them includes Marlin Travel, Club Voyages, Travel Plus and others within Canada as well as overseas. The agent I dealt with in city of Abbotsford, at Seven Oaks Shopping Mall was Sharon Saliken. Sharon is a liar and lazy in carrying out her duties. My credit card was fraudulently charged when I made a change to my return flight. The agent at Travel Brands (also a part of Transat Distribution Company) who applied the fraudulent charge was named Kim. I spent many hours emailing and phoning regarding the fraudulent charge made by them through emails with the area manager, Jelena Jado. This produced no results. Jelena made utterly false statements of my actions and their handling of the matter. I then proceeded with escalating the matter to a Tribunal. I was contacted by a man from Transat Distribution named Giuseppe Fusaro. He had the audacity to accuse me of being rude and refused to settle the matter. Giuseppe also falsely accused me of not being honest. This is the first review that I would give a negative 5 star rating to if that option was available.

Came in with my family to try and get some information about a trip. There was only one agent working and she was talking to another couple. We patiently waited for about about 45 minutes for her to finish with the current clients. The reason for the low rating is because she never acknowledged us, never said 'hi' or even said "I'll be with you shortly" or "come back in half an hour" it was terrible customer service. We ended up leaving and going to the Flight Centre and got better and prompt service there. I would say avoid this place unless you like being ignored.

Tried to book a wedding through this agency - they were recommended to me but the wedding specialist had since been replaced and I did not get attentive service considering lots of business that is offered with a wedding! I waited weeks between responses and my questions often weren't even answered. Not sure what happened there...but I decided to go somewhere else.

Have a negative experience with this agency. Be that as it may the situations was handled professionally and expeditiously by the regional manager after it was brought to his attention. I am totally satisfied after the encounter with the regional manager. I have now increased my rating to a 5 star.

Wow, Petra Buding at Fairview mall Transat Travel is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with in my life! I have never wrote a review on a place but the experience I had was so astonishing, especially for a person who works in face to face customer service and over the phone customer service. My cousin is in the process of planning his wedding in Mexico, the deposit is due in April (May now but thats besides the point) I emailed Ms.Buding on January 26 I did not recieve a response to my request for information so I could arrange my finances and schedule till March 6th. Ms. Buding then infomred me that she had other things that took more priority then simply shooting me an email with the information i requested. She then began a sob story on how she works 12 hour days and still can't find enough time to do everything she needs to .... well hunny that's not my problem if you can't time manage yourself and prioritize people who are about to spend almost $2000 on a trip that is a LIFE EVENT, not just a stupid march break trip for $400. On top of that comment she said: "I'm also doing this on my day off in hopes to get caught up" excuse me? What do I care if you're working on your day off and even if you are you do not tell the client this! What was she looking for sympathy? I recommend not booking with this lady who clearly is so unprofessional she has to resort to looking for sympathy for taking on too much work. She has now forced me to begin planning my own trip instead of being able to stay with my whole family at the resort. Thank you so much Petra and Transat for completely ruining a week that was suppose to be taken care of and looked after, a week that I should be spending with my family but due to people negligence and unprofessional demeanor I now have to stress about getting myself there to be able to celebrate someone who is important in my life.

Really worst experience. No interest to help customers. Plus they look at you as if you came at a wrong time. No options alloted neither given proper answers. Rude and dissatisfied service . Moreover they tell you how much experience they are and they know what they are doing but honestly they don't know how to treat their clients. Please do not visit at northgate. I got best help in Southgate branch marlin travels .

I feel the need to share what I’m currently experiencing with you guys so you don’t fall in the same trap. I booked flights with Air Transat on June 8, 2020 and they were cancelled on June 11, 2020. 3 days later. In an email, it said flights would resume by July 22, 2020 but in their website, there is no flight to my destination until November, 2020. Air Transat has refused to refund my money for my flight on July 3 to July 31, 2020 and has only given me a voucher for the value I spent with an expiration date. Westjet is flying to my destination on July 7, 2020 but my money is tied up in a voucher with Air Transat that I can’t use until November 2020. If Air Transat gave me the refund, I can book and fly with another airline. If I do not book a flight with Air transat before their expiration date, I lose my money. They keep my money unless I travel within their schedule to their limited locations. That doesn’t not seem ethical to me. I’m not in the financial position to donate money to a million dollar company like Air Transat but they certainly do not care. I may be forced to fly with them one last time and I may be forced to spend even more so I don’t lose my money but I will NEVER use them again. I encourage everyone else to beware of Air Transat as other airlines are offering refunds but Air transat will keep your money, maybe indefinitely if you don’t travel to their chosen destinations as per their schedule. Please don’t end up in the unfortunate situation I’m in. Have a great night everyone!

Went in for all 3 girls to just look at me. I asked who could help and one spoke up. No help at all. I was told to go online to find the hotel and flight I wanted and they could book it later. They couldn't find the book I needed but gave a website I could use. FYI the website didn't work. Waste of time.

Booked our Dominican getaway through Cristina. She was amazing to deal with from start to finish. I work long/weird shift work hours and my bf is away Monday to Friday but luckily she able to work around that and do most through email. She even helped with a mid vacation emergency (through email!!!) and is very reliable, trustworthy and knowledgeable. We will be booking again with her for a trip this upcoming winter and will continue to forward on her information to our friends and family. Thanks!

We have used Transat Travel a couple times and have to say without them I would be lost! They helped plan many family vacations and even my destination wedding. Most recently we were planning a trip to Europe that had to be cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic and Erin Hettle at Transat Travel North Gate location has been so kind, patient and understanding with us throughout the whole cancellation and re-booking process. After a couple years, we were finally booked to take another trip with Erin. With all the new travel rules and changes I truly feel that without her I would be lost. Her expertise and kindness is exactly why I will always choose a travel agent over booking online. In my opinion you cannot put a price on peace of mind or the ability to get help when you need it! Thank you Erin and Transat Travel for helping make our travel dreams come true (now fingers crossed no more travel restrictions happen haha).

After a short wait I was welcomed by Petra, and she was willing to spend the time with me and helped me to book a trip to Cuba. Her suggestions were useful as well as she seemed to be familiar with the area. She took the time to explain the the booking in detail, and after the booking was done she sent an email to confirm a few extra details. I would easily recommend this business, and plan on returning.

AWFUL service. Went in and saw Gina to book a trip to Punta Cana for a group of 6. She was supposed to call or email with more details and a group rate. Never heard from her. Went in a week later ready to book. Two travel agents were there, no one welcomed us when we arrived. One was busy with a client and the other said she was off her shift. Told us to sit and wait. Five mins later another person walks in and she helps her instead! We were very offended and left. As a group we spent almost $10 000 on our trip at Trip Central at Fairview mall .... they were wonderful! I would highly recommend that travel agency instead. Transat Travel missed out.

Its my husband who has to ask her can we have a seat. She looks like she dont hear. I was so disappointed by her behaviour. I will never go there again nor will i tell my friends to go there.

After some research at home we went back with other questions. Golf prices things around each resort etc etc. She did an excellent job even though we continually asked more and more. My wife was treated very rudely when she went to pick up our tickets the day before leaving for our trip. she was just handed the tickets.There was no thank you,have a nice trip...no nothing.She was handed the tickets and all he said was here are your tickets.....very rude and very unprofessional. The resort that we went to was highly recommended and I personally would not recommend this resort.The doors do not fit very well in the units and the wind comes whistling through the doors making it hard to sleep at night. Many things about our trip were left unexplained and we haven't travelled for years so we are very inexperienced.They took advantage of this. Very rude service at the agency. We probably would have upgraded our trip if given the option but this was not even offered so as a result,when we arrived in Cuba,we were famished because no food is given on the plane unless you want to pay a small fortune They are not professional,they are rude and they are very uncaring I would not even use these idiots to rent a car I will NEVER use this agency again.EVER EVER EVER!! I can not stress enough as to how poorly we were treated

We approached Lana on getting a get away to the south Okanogan in July 2021. She looked up what hotels were available and gave us choices in Penticton and Osoyoos BC. AS we had problems with star ratings in the past Lana pointed out what we could expect prior to booking. We decided to book a hotel in Osoyoos. She is very good on communicating with her clients.

Don't go to Marg. Forgot to add the full cost of trip cancel insure and tried to talk us put of getting it, didn't make sure our kids were part of Kid's Club (after telling us they were), and didn't ensure that the hotel would have a crib waiting for us, despite us telling her a few times. She seemed quite disorganized and not terribly knowledgeable.

Booked a trip to New Orleans, trip originated in Halifax, then would go to Toronto, New York and then New Orleans. I live in BC. As a result of poor weather and delayed flights I was unable to get to Halifax in time to get on the flight. However i would make it to Toronto in time for that flight. So I asked the agent to cancel the first leg of the trip. She assured me she would organize it. However when I arrived in Toromto, she o formed me all my flights (including return flights) had been canceled and that she hoped my travel Insurance would reimburse me. She told me I would have to go online and rebook all flights.

I travelled to Ont. with my service dog on Air Canada treated with respect...went here to book return flight to BC. I was treated and talked down to like a child..told me i HAVE to buy a seat for my service dog then may still be denied boarding once i got to Toronto...might have to stay overnight at the Union Station by Go Bus to make flight on time, or rent a cab knew nothing about Go Train and didn't bother to check...???? Argumentative and incompetent... I left there in tears.. Went to Kemp Travel on King East--wonderful service!!! PS. Air Transat and (Amanda)....My having a Service Dog doesn't mean I'm stupid and you can treat me as such!
