Edit: After posting this review, I was contacted and a second appointment was set up. Will update once that is completed. I went to get a simple script tattoo done in the Mississauga location. Kris was good and took great care as I was a first timer. But here’s where the experience went south. Your fees includes a free touch up. When I called to book a touch up I found Kris had moved to the Toronto mid town location. I am unable to go that far due to having a toddler at home and not having access to daycare for that long. Even then I booked an appointment at the eglinton location and tried to look for baby sitters. Oh another thing - all touch ups will be done late in the evening as mornings are reserved for paying customers. Am I not a paying customer?on being unable to arrange daycare I called a few days ahead and the person in the eglinton location said Mississauga will help you don’t worry and cancelled my appointment . I have been calling ever since to get someone in Mississauga to do the touch up but I have been given the run around every single time. First they said it’s not fair to the artist. Next they said it’s up to the manager. Then they said someone will call you right away. It’s been three weeks and no one has called me back once after I made the first call. How is this fair to me? I would avoid this location and the artist. This artist is now in the Ellington location.

Got my tattoo done by Christian at the SQ1 location. He talked me through the process (before, during, and after) to ensure I was satisfied at each step. He also was friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout. The tattoo turned out amazing and I'm quite impressed with his precision. I'm honestly in love with my new tattoo and I can't stop looking at it! Also, the front desk staff were very friendly, it was a relaxing atmosphere, and the place itself is extremely clean. I highly recommend this place if you're thinking of getting a tattoo!

My first tattoo with CHRONIC INK (SQUARE ONE LOCATION) was such a great experience! My aunt was taking me out for my very first tattoo and an additional one for herself. A week before my appointment the nerves kicked in and I was doubting what to get as a design. The team at chronic Ink were so flexible and helpful at finding the very best tattoo to fit my vision. I got my first tattoo done by Matthew at the square one location and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I was nervous at first but Matt is such a chill and mellow guy that I calmed down pretty quickly after we started discussing the details of the tattoo. He asked my opinion every step of the way without rushing through anything and he explained what I could expect for the next couple of days in regards to healing and after care. Thankfully, the tattoo itself didn't even hurt. Honestly, the whole staff there is great and I will definitely be going back.

I really wanted a tattoo and planned to get a one last week with Joanna but she stopped replying to my emails. It’s not a huge deal but two of my friends warned me about her because they also booked with her and she canceled/rescheduled them so it seems to be a pattern. I get the feeling she doesn’t care to do certain jobs. Her style seems really nice and I’m disappointed I won’t be getting a tattoo with her but you can find another artist for her style if you want to avoid disappointment and booking off days for no reason.

I booked a tattoo appointment at this location, and my initial appointment was rescheduled due to the artist being sick (which is understable at the moment) however, when I arrived at my rescheduled appointment, I was turned away as the location was understaffed. I requested a refund on my deposit at this point in time, and was told that it would be sent in 48 hours, however It has been over 2 weeks and I have not received my deposit back. Their customer service and lack of professional was a terrible enough for me to never come back to this location.

Everything was just perfect. Staff are all very welcoming. It was my first tattoo and i was super nervous about it and i had changed its size almost 3 times on the day of my appointment yet the artist Matthew Lo (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) was super understanding and had no problem helping me out and printing the image all over again. He was checking every bit on how i was doing and if i needed a break or whatsoever. I am super happy with the result it was super clean and sharp. The artist is very professional. I’d defiantly come back for my next tattoo here.

The consultations have been clear, concise and accommodating (dates/times). In two years I’ve had four pieces done...awaiting my fifth. I do feel like I’m working with artists who are working on commissioned art- it’s been a fabulous experience- my kids are mortified, but that’s another story!????. New post I did end up getting a call from the store regarding my situation and they did refund my deposit in full and so I am changing my rating to 3 star. I also heard from an operations manager. I understand Covid affected everyone and businesses and I appreciate their reaching out to me. First post I booked to get tattoos from Chronic Ink back in May and my appointment was for July. At the time of booking they let me know the artist I was paired with wasn't able to do foot tattoos so I changed the placement. Now a week before my appointment they are telling me they can not do the tattoo behind my ear. They let me know the artist is now booking for October if I want to wait until then. I paid a deposit and I have sent them 3 emails requesting to cancel and get my deposit back as it is their shop that isnt able to give me the tattoos I booked and paid deposit for. I have had no response to my emails. Very poor professionalism and customer service. Their response time to emails was excellent until I requested my money back. Dont pay a deposit unless you are absolutely sure that they can and will do your tattoos. Hope this helps!

I can’t speak for the tattoos-but the microblading experience with Gina was not a good one. It was my first microblading visit so I did not know what to expect. But what happened was numbing ointment went into my eyes and and the response was “that never happened before” instead of “sorry”. I felt burning in my eyes. Numbing was not effective enough (maybe because the ointment melted onto my eye) and the microblading was extremely painful. I spent more time getting “numbed” then the less than 5 minute shaping or freehand drawing it on at the most, maybe 10 minutes of actual microblading, which felt like the longest minutes of my life due to the pain. I said I was in pain but I didn’t feel acknowledged as she just kept going. My eyes were watering so much. But she didn’t seem to notice...Maybe my review would have been better if the brows healed well despite the poor service. But the brows were patchy almost one month later. Brows faded to orangey red in less than one year. Since then I have visited another studio and had better results in terms of retention of colour and overall customer service. Maybe things have improved since then so that no one else has to experience this, but as for myself I will never forget that pain.

Bought some face masks from them because of this covid and it said some money were going to help frontline workers ,was a bit pricey for 3 masks but was going to a good cause so we did it,said 5 weeks at max to get them amd it has been way longer and we have seen nothing,also we had to email and ask them what's going on cause no one was reaching out. There tattoos seem beautifully done however, I went in to receive a consultation for a tattoo and was put out due to how rude their staff was. The gentleman at the front didn't even acknowledge me when I entered the establishment and was seriously abrasive. Look for another tattoo shop where they treat you like a human.

After years of deliberating, I finally decide to take the leap and do some serious research into getting a tattoo. After visiting a few studios and a getting a referral, I decided to go with Chronic Ink. I did an initial consultation with Matt Lo and then booked an appointment for about six weeks later to get it done. On my appointment day, I told Matt that the plan we had made in terms of placement and wordings was no longer what I wanted. I actually wanted different wordings and the drawing had also changed. It probably helped that what I wanted was less words than originally planned, but he was very accommodating, especially seeing it was my first tattoo. He started from scratch with me on the new wordings and made sure I was comfortable with the placement and font size. He also spoke about placement of the tattoo and the level of discomfort generally associated with said placement. When I said I was ready to begin, he again gave me a few minutes alone to make sure I was 100% sure of my decision and comfortable to move forward. He explained each step before starting, asked how I was doing throughout the process, and made me feel very comfortable and satisfied with my first experience. I’m now thinking about my second tattoo :) I love my tattoo, and due to the overall experience and quality of work, I would definitely and without any reservation recommend Matt Lo, especially if you’re getting your first tattoo. Looking forward to having Matt do my second one!

Anqi did a wonderful job for us. My sister and I wanted to get a tattoo together, and Anqi helped polish our design and consulted both of us through email since my sister couldn't be present. She took her time and it shows in the delicate and detailed work she did. She was professional, friendly, and did her best to make us comfortable even though the store was always busy with people coming in and out. We had a great experience, and would go back to her and the SQ1 location for any other future tattoos!
