Saw them in our area once and since we needed our place done, we looked them up on Google. Their rating was 4.9 / 5, so we thought they must be good. They did an amazing job on our place. Paul came for the quote and answered all questions that I had. They do measurements with some type of phone app and he was done fairly quickly. I booked them and on the day of, Paul came with 3 other guys and they took just under two full days to paint our 850 sq ft townhome. Dealt with Elliot post job, and same as Paul, they were both quick to respond, professional, and courteous. Top notch paint job. They did sanding and two coats as well as remove wallpaper from one of our walls. Our place looks completely different now. They guarantee the work, and were very helpful moving furniture around for us. Highly recommend them if you want your place painted.

A very positive experience from start to finish. From the quote, to picking our paint colours, to the work completed. I've painted many a room before and have spilled paint, made a mess. These guys painted a perfect room. Not a single smudge on our white trim. Amazing! Anything that was not covered in our original quote was confirmed by phone before proceeding with the extra work. Everything they suggested was entirely worth it. We picked some bright/dark colours that were an incredible pain to work with, but they somehow made it work and come out great. This is the second time we have reno'd a house and picking trades people to do the renos off the internet is always a bit nerve wracking!! Because of that we pick most of the companies we use based on reviews online. Most of the times we have been really happy but there have been times we've been disappointed. Rest assured Elliot has fantastic reviews for a reason and we would highly recommend him!! What makes him awesome? He is punctual. Never once from the quote, to the job, to touch ups did he show up late. We have had trades people in the past say they are going to show up at 9am and don't arrive until 3pm which is so frustrating! He included a colour designer Katrina who picked out beautiful colours for our home and we love it!! He and his team are all super friendly, professional and tidy! The whole process was seamless, we had no issues since they did such a great job!! Elliot has come back to do two small touch ups no questions asked!! He was so good about it and both times I called him he was at our house asap. All in all you cant go wrong picking Hemlock painting. His price is fair and he is a stand up guy who does what it takes to make his customers happy!! He is seriously the nicest guy and completely trustworthy which is hard to come by these days!!

Bjarne Tokerud I was immensely pleased with what the Hemlock paint crew performed in the office space. Not only do I have my own fussy standards, but I also had to satisfy the landlord. The building manager came by and was impressed. He said the place feels elegant. Of great importance to me were the cut lines (I can't stand sloppy overlaps, wiggles, etc), and some cut lines were needed in tough high-up areas where different colours of paint met up. I am completely satisfied with the result. The work was done in one day at the price quoted. The frequent communications needed to get the work done were always professional and courteous. Though not part of the job contract, some really good suggestions as to paint colour and where these might be applied resulted in a beautifully painted office, with a pleasing colour scheme. The crew did a really good job cleaning up, as well.

After calling a few places to get quotes for painting our new condo, we decided to go with Hemlock Painting, given that they were the only place that provided a detailed quote, describing every cost with full transparency. Beware this company. We had an awful experience with Hemlock Painting a couple years ago. Hemlock came in to provide a quote for a two bedroom apartment, and we decided to go ahead with them. They changed the price on us at the last minute, then did a poor job of actually painting the apartment. They missed filling in many of the corners, left tape up everywhere, left paint on the cabinets, and damaged some of our appliances. Elliot refused to accept any responsibility for this damage or poor quality of work, and was incredibly belligerent, rude, and accusatory during the phone calls and in person discussions. For your own peace of mind, find a company that is more professional and provides better customer service.

I was in Toronto and needed to have my condo here painted and also have new wood flooring installed. Possession date was awkward - a long weekend - and I did not look forward to living out of a suitcase for several weeks. Hemlock Painters were very busy but squeezed me into their schedule and a crew of 5 at one point got on with the job. Flooring crew were able to work around the painting schedule. The condo had storage areas with shelving, track lights, etc. Despite this, everything was carefully taken out, labelled, and replaced. Doors were painted and one painter will come back when the new baseboard is installed. Cooperative and very helpful, pleasant group of workers. Highly recommend for the quality and professionalism.

Elliot and his team did a spectacular job repainting my condo and fixing all sorts of little dings, holes, and random wall and trim damage accumulated over 12 years and two kids savaging the place. The bottom line with any paint job is the quality of the result, and Hemlock delivered in spades. The place now looks brand new. Though they offer a full satisfaction guarantee and will come back to fix any deficiencies and perform touch-ups for free, we haven't needed to call them, as we couldn't find even the smallest thing wrong. Our project was quite challenging - we wanted all closets repainted, which meant putting a lot of stuff out in the middle of the rooms, leaving very little free space to move around. The crew moved all this very efficiently, many times a day, in order to create space to work, and yet finished in the allotted time. Finally, scheduling and communication was as smooth and quick as it gets - Elliot is very responsive both by phone and email, and booking appointments and making payments is a breeze with their online system. I would recommend them to anyone, and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Like a lot of people in 2021, my wife and I took advantage of low interest rates to upgrade our space. We moved from a condo to a townhouse. We were so excited for the bigger space and new build. To our dismay, although the majority of our space we loved, the paint was terrible. After doing our best to take care of what we could and a hurried “fix” by the original painters… our space looked arguably worse. Hemlock was able to come in, consult with us on ideal colours (directly through Benjamin Moore… and also importantly regarding shine options) to find colours we loved. WOW! I am thrilled with the outstanding work that Hemlock did! First, I had my ceiling refinished by the amazing Asa, who transformed my ceiling from a “popcorn style stucco” to a smooth and flat, mirror like surface. Effectively, having the ceiling smoothed, is like the difference between a gravel driveway, and a freshly frozen pond; the light effortlessly now skates across the ceiling, illuminating and reflecting light, through the entire suite! I definitely recommend removing the textured ceiling! iI makes a HUGE difference, and your suite will look bigger and brighter! Then, Elliot and his crew, did a superb, detailed preparation, taping and covering of the floors to protect them, as well as protecting the kitchen with drop sheets, removing all blinds, and light fixtures. Stellar! After the painting was complete,, and they received my approval, all fixtures were reinstalled, and any mess was removed. The floors and counter tops were cleaned. They adhered to their proposed schedule, and were done on time. All the crew were courteous and very professional!! My suite now sparkles! Complete happiness!! In this case, it was around task scheduling, employee work-life balance, and project progress clarity. I shared this feedback privately with the owner, and he assured me that he will consider this and take the required actions. We received the quote the next day. Elliot also took the time to visit our condo to confirm the quote, take measurements and review the paint colours with us. I could not recommend a company and service with more enthusiasm than Elliot and the Hemlock team. I recently purchased my first home, a condo built in 1990 - and the interior was reflective of the era. Dark greys, deep maroons and terracotta-inspired tile throughout. In fact, there was even a section of wall painted in silver foil. And of course, our chosen colour throughout the entire interior was white. White ceilings, white walls, white trim, white doors. When Elliot came through, I expected the same reaction I had received from other painters - an exasperated shrug and an egregious quote. Not Elliot. He just said, "No problem", and gave me dates to choose from. When they arrived, his crew rolled in, set up, and finished the job in less than a day. No complaints of extra coats, no issues about covering a strange foil wall. Just smiles, high-fives and a beautiful, fresh, crisp home. When my doors arrived and my trim was completed, they came back, and finished the remainder - even though my doors were flat, and my trim was oversized. They needed extra time to complete everything, but made certain it was done as they quoted. Even minor renovations are a giant pain, stressful and time consuming, there is NOTHING better than feeling like a contractor has your interests in mind, and that you need not worry about the outcome, because it will be great. Thanks to the team at Hemlock, they managed to make the experience more than manageable.

Hemlock recently (June 2019) painted my living room and bedroom walls. Both rooms had some really ugly wallpaper that needed to be stripped off the walls. RESULT: The paint jobs in both rooms look perfect. Very happy. Day 1, the workers arrived on time, super polite, protected all the furniture and flooring with drop sheets and wore surgical "socks" overshoes to protect the flooring. Day 2, after completing all work, they vacuumed and cleaned very well. Both rooms were transformed, look great, as if the wallpaper had never existed. I would definitely hire them again.

My partner and I recently bought a new home. We had a very tight timeline to get the walls painted (one day), before we moved. Hemlock was able to give us an accurate quote using our real estate listing and strata plans. Elliot was very responsive, and was able to schedule us in for the time we needed. The painting crew was led by Jason, and they arrived exactly on time and totally prepared. They had a crew of 6 in order to finish the job in one day. Not only did they do an impeccable job of painting our very tall (14" to 20") walls, including filling and painting over all the holes, they managed to repair a large hole in the drywall. The crew was extremely professional, responsive (updating us throughout the day) and extremely clean. Our home was empty as we moved in the next day, but they still left it cleaner than when they arrived. The work was excellent, and our walls look fantastic. Hemlock made what could have been a very stressful day into a great experience. We were so impressed with their work that we are going to get a quote to have our ceilings and trim done as soon as we can. We cannot recommend Hemlock enough, they were absolutely fantastic.

Three lovely polite guys appeared on time, set their carts and supplies up on the front porch on tarps, wore masks, booties over shoes, and proceeded to paint the downstairs living room and bathroom and stairwell. Beautiful paint job-then all tarps and tapes taken up from the painting site, the carts, brushes, paint cans, tarps, etc taken away from the porch when they left. I could hear pleasant conversations, no swearing, no loud music, and polite appreciation of cups of coffee which I made for them. Exceptional work on the painting, and great crew.

From all the painter, I asked Hemlock Interior to paint my place as google's good review. I was impressed with their services. Elliot was very helpful and commutative. He responded quickly and answered all my questions. The whole procedure was very easy and he is always on time for the appointments. We used Hemlock painting to paint the interior of our home. It was a very positive experience from initial consultation to final payment. The staff were friendly and professional. The quote for painting services was comprehensive, and there were no surprises at payment. We felt the quoted price was reasonable based on the size of the job and the amount of prep required to get a quality finish. Our paint project was scheduled a month in advance, commenced on time and finished within a day of the estimated end date (we added the painting of the ceilings to the project once we saw how bad the unpainted ceiling looked with the newly painted walls). The team showed up on time every day during the project, and I had daily updates from Joe (one of the leads) and Elliot, the owner. I would not hesitate to invite them back into my home to do additional work.
