UPDATE: this place has the BEST karoake in St Thomas. Come check it out, every Friday night, starts just after 9pm I just moved into the neighborhood and saw a bar w/in walking distance. That gives it 3 stars. It serves local beers (such as the Orange CreamsicAle from Railway City), you get another star for that. $5 appetizers after 8pm? Another star. The wings are great, the Snake Bites are amazing, the mozza sticks are good. The staff is amazing and friendly, as are the owners. If I could, I'd give you more stars, but Google has limited me to 5.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. We head over on Wednesdays and get the $5.00 burger special. They allow us to call ahead and have it ready waiting at a table. Excellent food, excellent service. A good place to bring friends for beer and a burger.

I have tried this particular restaurant a few times, but have found the same disapointing results each time. When entering this blue collar local mini plaza you find what you would expect from any restaurant in a small back street mini plaza. Its clean and filled with the locals. I ordered orange juice, eggs, toast, and bacon the standard for most breakfasts. I was extremely disappointed to find that the staff has no idea how to pure a simple orange juice. It arrived all times with a ton of ice. I dare you to find a high end restaurant with such poor practice. The ice melts changing the teaste of the orange juice. I dare not order milk incase they alls add ice to the drink. Apparently they only know how to serve coffee and pop, which is fine if you stick to the coffee. The meal was fine, with nothing special to write home about. Inconculsion this is a fine restaurant if your getting down work or are a restiree, who live less then 5 blocks away and are to lazy to throw some eggs on the stove, but if you live out side the 5 block radius, save your gas and find a closer or better establishment. Truthfully A&W had cheaper and more taste in their food.

Another fine gem of a restaurant in St Thomas. Its under new management and all the food is homemade and superb. The portions are big and I can tell you that no matter what you order you will leave satisified and full. Its a great Sports Bar to have a drink or a full meal with family and friends and watch sports in 1 of the 4 big screen tv's there.

First timers and we were ignored as we stood by the front door not knowing if we should seat ourselves. We ended up finding a table in the corner where the air conditioner blew cold air on me throughout our meal. On the positive side, service was fast. Food was okay (asked for brown toast, but got white and the air conditioner cooled down my food faster than I could eat it). The price was right, but atmosphere not for me.

The food is awful - super greasy fried food, rancid French onion soup, and not so fresh salads. Every time I've gone, I've been ill from the food. It's fine if you're just going for a beer, but otherwise, I'd steer clear!

Food was good waitress was there in the first couple of minutes with coffee took our order and we had it in about 10 minutes not bad then more coffee I think they did a pretty good Job . One of the guys who was with us had half a rap left . The waitress asked if he wanted a box to put it in and then proceed to bring it . I feel the food and service was good and we will go back. The atmosphere was light and people friendly. What else could you ask for.

Tried this place for the first time in 10 years. The waitress seated us and got us drinks right away, no complaints whatsoever with the staff. The food, however, could use a lot of work. I ordered medium wings, fries, and nachos for the hockey game. I asked for the fries extra crispy - they came soft and woukd bend over every time you picked one up. When I was a kid, I worked at a fry truck here in town, and you could definitely tell that Upper Deck fries were pre cut the day before and left in one of those big tubs. Definitely not fresh cut that day. The wings were even more of a let down. Barely sauced at all and had no flavour other then having been breaded and deep fried. The nachos were the only thing I put a dent in, did not eat the rest of the food. Another thing that was disappointing about the experience is, for a sports bar, you would hope for some variety - there were approximately 10 TVs in the bar, and every one of them was playing the Leafs game. I asked the server if it would at all be possible to change the tv closest to us to the Wings game, which she explained she was not able to do? ????‍♂️ We ended up going home to watch the game. There is a reason why there was less than 10 people in there that night If you’re a Leafs fan and just looking for a drink, then this is your place If you’re looking for anything more then that, look elsewhere. Upper Deck is not even worth trying, I will not be back.

Upper deck has mastered the "small town hangout place" aesthetic. The food is great, and modestly priced, wait staff is friendly and even when it is the busier times of the day, they are fixated on making sure your experience is still positive. If you're looking for somewhere that is more laid back, and priced well, Upper deck is your go-to. Oh, and their all-day breakfast is the best.
