One of the best libraries in Montreal. There is the little design flaw about the tables near the windows not having enough, if any leg space. However, the rest is great to study and concentrate in silence and to even make a phone call downstairs in the eating area when needed!

There is no question about how beautiful is this library. However, one of the major design errors with this place is the design of the tables along the windows on the second floor. The edge of tables is around 5" out, which means that your legs can only go under the table by 5" which is not enough. This is a terrible mistake by the ppl who designed the tables, the builders and the ppl overseeing the project. How can they F--- this basic thing up? After an hour sitting at these tables the whole body gets tired and your concentration goes out of the widow.

A beautiful playground for babies and children on the ground floor, surrounded by windows where you can admire the snow while being warm. Upstairs the solarium, reading space magazines perfect for relaxing around the central fireplace. My favorite library! (Original) Une des meilleures bibliothèque de la ville ! Ouverte il y a 5 ans, en Décembre 2014, elle est moderne et possède de vastes baies vitrées en son sein ce qui apporte beaucoup de luminosité. Un bel espace de jeux pour les bébés et enfants au rez de chaussée, entouré de vitres où l'on peut admirer la neige en étant bien au chaud. C'est drôle parfois, mais quand on travaille, d'avoir quelqu'un qui passe derrière soi avec cette démarche inquisitoire est vraiment dérangeante. (Peut-être un ancien policier qui était habitué à être respecté par son uniforme ? Vous êtes dans une bibliothèque avec une population la plus tranquille du monde, chillez-donc monsieur.)

It's an excellently organized space, full of light, mostly open-concept. It's quite progressive in marrying wheelchair accessibility, art and architecture teaching about Quebecois culture, and high-quality collection development for all ages. Note that this is a "third space" model, so talking in permitted in sections of the library - if you need total silence, this might not be for you. But if you're looking for a beautiful, inspiring community space that supports multi-dimensional exploration and learning - I highly recommend it!

It is very easy to reach since it is literally within meters of the main entrance of the Rosemont subway station. This library is modern, well organized, and has a great atmosphere. I highly recommend it to people with young children. In addition to a large selection of books, the children's section has a reading corner, a game room and an animation studio. The only negative remark I have is that it's opening hours are limited between Wednesday and Friday.
