These guys absolutely nailed our wedding. They did such incredible work on such a reasonable budget. We were very worried a florist would be condescending to us when they learned our floral budget for our wedding however the staff did everything we wanted and more within budget and their setup was not only professional but fast and clean. They even tidied the venue once the flowers were up to make sure the venue was pristine. There was staff overturn during our booking and the new employee reviewed every email and hot herself up to speed without any assistance from us. As much as you may expect this - it was a huge relief to feel taken care of no matter what. I absolutely suggest using Academy for any big event!

Ive followed this florist on instagram for years. Just a few months ago i finally started ordering a few smaller bouquets from them and they were all beautiful. So when i got engaged this past winter i knew i wanted them to help me with flowers. After a few consultations and quotes we did choose Academy as our florist for the wedding. They were very helpful and understanding of what we wanted and any changes we had to make due to our ever changing wedding plans because of covid-19. This morning I got flowers from a friend, however, he didn't know my apartment number but someone from the store said that they would figure it out. Well, a lady from the store called me to say that I got flowers but that she needed my apartment number spoiling completely the surprise. A female who was obviously having a bad day grudgingly helped me to get a bouquet together-- many of the flowers in the cooler were obviously past their due date so she finally ended up going to the "back" to get fresh ones-- she even told me that they try to get rid of the ones in the cooler first since it was a weekend and these were the last of the flowers that have not sold throughout the week. The small bouquet for which I paid 40$ lasted only two days was underwhelming to say the least. Never going back again-- bad vibes do not make for happy flowers or lasting customers.

Needed flowers for a friend. Stopped in and found parking on the street. Walked in, the decore and layout is beautiful. Lots of little gifts and a nice scent of flowers. A lady came over to me and asked if I needed help. I told her I wanted daisies and she made an arrangement. She wasn't very friendly and didnt look very happy. She did make a nice arrangement and it took about 15 mins. Price was fair.

Edit: Wow!! Truly blown away by Academy's customer retention. I've seen too many local businesses take a poor review the wrong way, only to lose that client forever. Emily was great in handling my case; I was given a full refund for the order I wasn't happy with, and a complimentary bouquet that's supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Really impressed and happy.

Called in my order after perusing their website, paid and assumed all was fine. Order was delivered to my daughter by another company (!?) but it was not what I chose. When I contacted both academy and the delivery florist (bloomex) neither took responsibility, nor were willing to correct the issue. Didn’t get what I paid for and very disappointed at the lack of customer service. Beware.. if you’re ordering here, you may get pawned off on their “contractor”. And if an error is made by either of them, nothing will be done as they point fingers at each other, and you’ll be left in the lurch.

I guess I should give them at least one star because I'm hoping it was just a bad day. I was dealing with another "Big Florist" in the area and although I gave them a week's notice they failed me totally. So I looked for another shop and came across Academy. It was less than 3 hours until the dinner and I was desperate. I walked in with high hopes and when I began talking with the young lady behind the counter my hopes fell off the cliff. She was dead pan, emotionless and displayed no courtesy whatsoever. I knew within two minutes that I had walked into the wrong place. It was a horrible, horrible experience. She should not be allowed to deal with the public and her place was probably in the back of the store. My guess is she was the owner’s daughter or something. No right thinking Human Resources manager would ever hire her. I'll never set foot in that place again, no matter how long I live and I suggest you do the same.

Academy has been a consistently reliable and high quality florist for me over the years. They did the flowers for our wedding, and I've used them to send bouquets several times without incident. Yesterday (Mother's Day) I was reminded of how good they are; two different people had sent me flowers for the occasion from two different florists, one of which was Academy. The academy bouquet showed up on time; the delivery driver waited to confirm I had received the flowers before he left so that they didn't shrivel from the cold abandoned on the doorstep; the bouquet was fresh and beautiful. This is in stark contrast to the other bouquet I was supposed to receive from a different florist, which showed up a full 24 hours late, was dumped hurriedly on our doorstep upside down, and was half wilted. Moral of the story, go with Academy.

We've used Academy Florist a number of times and we've always been really satisfied with their products and services. You can visit the store and tell them what you're looking for (e.g. price range, colour options) and they walk you through a number of options and put it together on the spot if they're not too busy and you have some time to wait (e.g., 15 minutes). They also have pre-made arrangements for purchase. The store itself is very clean and professionally put-together and staff have always been nice, knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciate a store that is flexible and customer-centered ;)

I have been ordering flowers from Academy Florist since I moved to Winnipeg 2 years ago. Their taste for bouquet arrangements is very nice and their choice of seasonal flowers are also good. Nevertheless, every time I ordered I wasn't happy with the service. I don't mind their prices either (I can always justify spending money on nice flowers). But, Covid-19 and low staff issues aside, when you call to order flowers (to bring others or yourself a bit of joy and hope in life), you shouldn't encounter someone impatient on the phone because you take more than 10 seconds to decide what you want to order. Also when you feel like asking for advice on bouquets/types of flowers (sorry that I just have basic knowledge about flowers) nobody is able to/or wants to help. It's your job, you are selling flowers, you should love helping customers with fitting their hopes/expectations using your expertise. I've always felt rushed on the phone and the tone employed by many of their staff was almost disrespectful. As well, I rarely have a warm/welcoming pick-up experience. It's sad because in this kind of time, flowers can make someone`s day, but it looks like you are clearly bothered by people ordering here. Please, remember that this is a team relationship, business owners and customers working hand in hand to make things better.

I was out of town recently and I realized in a panic that I had forgotten to send my dear friend flowers for her birthday. It was Friday at 4:30. I called Academy Florist because it was within walking distance of where I needed the flowers delivered. Despite me offering to pay double the delivery fee, the florist said it was too late in the day to help me. I explained that I was in a predicament and asked if they could make an exception to their delivery cut off time. They could not. Another florist - on Academy road - helped me out and all ended well. I'm afraid I won't be giving much business to Academy Florist on Corydon in the future.

I used them for my wedding in August. I had a very small order, but I was happy with it! I am not too picky so I really didn't give them much to go off of when it came to ideas of what I wanted.. But they took my vague descriptions of my decor and came provided me with a beautiful bouquet!! The boutonnière's were lovely as well!
