Purchased and shipped a powder blue tang, a regal angelfish and some peppermint shrimps this week. They arrived safely in a very well packaged box, still warm and no leaks. The fish were in large heavy duty bags with plenty of space to move around and they looked really healthy. They ate about an hour after they were transferred to the tank. Super pleased with this company, very professional. I don't think I'll ever get my fish anywhere else!

Worst experience ever. My package was delayed by a day, they were very unresponsive to my messages on what to do, and really didn't care to settle my nerves if the fish would be okay. When going through my package there was freebie coral which I wanted to know what it was, for placement and its needs etc as I'm still new to this. They just brushed me off saying they didn't package it, but I pressed because I hadn't been treated well already. I didn't want to bring the coral to the local fish store, I wanted to know what it was so I could care for it and keep it myself. I pressed the matter and they stated the employee doesn't remember have a great day boss. I responded okay then.. I was baffled this was the service I got after buying 800 dollars worth of fish in two orders. I will never order fish again on line, it was the worst and most stressful experience of my life and I've given birth. Eventually they told me the name of the coral, but I'm really disappointed in the service and the people I told this was a great site too I made sure they knew it truly isn't what I thought it was. Also FedEx lied so much to us, if you are going to ship live animals use a service with more than one star. Some people care about their fish.after posting this review i was harassed by their staff and owner, told i was unreasonable and to shop local.

I've never had any issues whatsoever with anything I've ordered from Candy Corals. My expectations are always exceeded! They are my go to, and the fish I've received have always been in perfect health upon arrival, fat and happy ones big or small! Candy Corals packs their corals so carefully for shipment, by far the best condition packages when they arrive from anywhere I've ordered. Always arriving warm and in place. You can tell they care about their livestock as well as their customers. They contacted me when there was a concern with a fish I ordered making the shipping trip to ensure the shipment wasn't sent out until it was safe for the fish to do so. The staff include kind notes and sometimes a freebie on large orders! The Candy Corals free shipping threshold is also very reasonable which makes a difference, and shipping prices for smaller orders are very low. The pictures below include the gorgeous juvenile powder brown tang from my second last order. Despite being a sensitive fish, he arrived in amazing health and I've had no issues with him at all! Immediately ate everything offered and he's made it into my display tank at this point, still in perfect health! The royal gramma and Indo gold torch are from my most recent order. The gramma arrived in perfect condition as well and was eating from day 2. Now in the DT it's found a cave and is doing so well! The torch is gorgeous and great care was taken to keep it safe with shipping, making sure it wouldn't bang around inside its own bag. I was so happy to order new stock for our upgraded reef from Candy Corals and already want to upgrade again to have more space to order more gorgeous babies from them!

This is by far the best place in the entire gta to get exotic saltwater fishes and exotic corals. Before I begin, I would like to thank the owner of the store Afnan for taking his time to explain me about some of the most unique beautifully coloured corals that I have never seen before and also to dedicate his time to get such wonderful corals for us. You have to see it to believe what I am saying. He has all the supplies you would ever need and at such great prices. I bought my fox-face fish, 6 line wrasse, splatter hammer, gold stem torch and hell fire torch from here. I bought all of them when he had deals going on his website and it was very well worth it. I was very overwhelmed with the amount of corals they have. I learned so much from him in one day just by going here. From frags to colonies, to high tech equipments; you name it and it’s there. I’ve personally bought stuff from other stores around GTA and this is by far the BEST place I have ever been to. I’m looking forward to visit his store again and buy a bunch of corals when lockdown is over and when stores are back to being open again. His website is regularly updated. Make sure to check him out on instagram. I’ll never go anywhere else when I have this unique store right around the corner. To all the reefer enthusiasts, I highly recommend this store. Just amazing! It was too much for me. Week after week of new and more amazing fish and corals posted to their site and I gave in to temptation. A rare Sailfin Jawfish and a Sohal Tang, both at totally reasonable prices (the market is still reeling from the pandemic and prices are up everywhere). Then the corals...how to choose? I had some questions and it was late in the evening so I posted them expecting to hear back the next day. Nope, they answered right away and after some back and forth, I had narrowed down my choices. I did my best but of course, I blew past my budget. Fish and corals arrived via FedEx Overnight and everything was professionally packed and labeled, no chances of leaks and a heat pack to boot! I will be saving up my sheckles to be a return customer in the near future. With an extra head of Hellfire, and a Scoly for a welcome to CandyCorals gift, if you want some Candy from the top shelf for your reef, this is where I will be shopping again. The Ironstone Reef

Great shop, one of the cleanest if not the cleanest reef store I have ever been in. Selection mainly focus on high end / rare pieces but there are still lots of affordable pieces as well. Stocks the important dry goods / frozen food not random junk, so you can get what you need and not have to look through shelf after shelf for it. Very friendly owner, and overall a very pleasant shopping experience. Would recommend to any reefer. Pictured is one of the frags I picked up. Lots of colonies available too which is becoming less and less common.

Got a pair of fish in less than 24 hrs one is already going down for the count.. all signs says ich. Phoned the owner immediately says it’s my fault my ammonia is high I tested my water the night before adding the fish in and everything was good. My whole thing is someone comes to your place and spends hundreds on fish and don’t get 24 hrs out of them and you can’t offer a customer any help over the phone as to what’s happening ? Please if your going to buy fish here do it in person and look thru all the tanks. When I called I make it very clear they fish had spots, the fish is not eating, the fish is laying on the sand bed. I got a pair but only one was giving issues when my parameters are good. Clearly your ‘guy’ lied to you because I took them as a pair as that was what I was looking for, and I was never helped by a guy. And they were just the healthier looking pair. I never asked for a guarantee or money I asked for help. As I said if your buying fish here look over the tanks. And the owner made it very clear when he literally tried to push the blame back onto me with his reply to my review.

Shipments arrival is different then from other places , the plugs are put in a cup and in a foam and they float upside down like that the corals don’t get damaged that was a super plus for me !!! Exotic rare fish that I have never ever seen NOT EVEN FINDABLE ON GOOGLE !! Some corals you see will leave you jaw dropped. The service received from this place was impeccable! I recommend to every1!

Not sure why I haven’t review Candy Corals already but, here we go. The owner is helpful sometime to a fault. He goes out of his way for the reefing community and is a hobbyist first. He will bring in what every you’re looking for fish/ coral and is certainly resourceful. The shop is by far the cleanest, more welcoming shop in all of Canada. Kinda feels like the high end coral shops is the US or like a coral jewelry shop lol. Overall, I would highly recommend this coral shop if your looking for healthy, reasonably priced fish and corals.

I have never left a bad review at any store before, and this was the first time that I have had anywhere near a bad experience at any saltwater/aquarium shop even after having visited every single saltwater shop in the GTA and even some outside of this area. -20% of the fish not in the frag tanks were either dead, dying or visibly ill. -Bought a mandarin goby, ended up finding out that it has both ich and some kind of fungal infection once I was able to see it under a light. (Mandarin gobies rarely get ich....) -Bought a couple snails, only 1 was alive (checked the bag as soon as I left the store) - Had to wait 35 minutes to buy one fish but there were only two customers and only one came before me. - Asked where a particular fish was and they said "somewhere in one of these tanks, then walked away" -Owner and staff are not friendly, (not saying that they're rude per-se) -Two staff members and the owner were there, but none of them wanted to come bag up my fish and ring up my order until it was 5 minutes left to closing time. Honestly, it is my fault for making a purchase even after seeing all the dead fish in the same tank that my goby was in I will not be returning to Candy Corals, I would suggest going to Aquarium Depot or Frag Box instead of here. Please treat your customers with a little bit more respect and treat the fish more like living creatures rather than expendable commodities. I have ordered a few times now from Candy Corals. With online orders, I have experienced excellent customer service. I have now gone to the store once and my store experience was not the same as the online experience in spite of the fact that I was dealing with the same person. We entered the store and there was one employee busy with aquariums and the owner/manager assisting one other customer. We waited several minutes for the manager to be free, and approached him. He assisted for maybe 2 minutes and then disappeared into the back room, without notice. We then approached the other staff who was now free and she completed our order. We will stick to online orders from now on, as that is where we did have good customer service.

If you are looking for exotic they got it or can get it. I ordered some corals online, shipping was fast and well packaged. The corals each had a frag peg thrue a small cup so they can't bang around on the ship (no other place has done this for me usually just put in a bag and ship) I needed some advice on coral i was buying, the staff took the time to message back and forth with me to help out. Fish came infested with flukes. It’s a good thing I had prazipro on hand. All in all, the packaging was very nice. Thick styrofoam box, two heat packs and was very well taped. Fish came in a large bag that was double bagged and had plenty of oxygen. Came with a nice sample of food which I can assume that it was being fed. Shipping was fast, their website is very organized and have exceptional customer service. It was a shame that the fish arrived unhealthy

Online experience only: I had a fantastic experience with Candy Corals. Firstly, the selection of corals, fish, and inverts is fantastic. I asked for my order to be shipped fast and they had it shipped in less than 24 hours. Fedex was late (obviously) but everything arrived alive since it was packed so well! The corals were also SUPER clean. After dipping 6 corals, the only thing that came off one of the plugs was a single pod. I am thoroughly impressed, I can only assume that a strong U.V. sterilizer is being used. All in all, the staff were super accommodating to all my requests, and livestock looks super healthy. I will definitely order from here again. Hopefully I can drop by the actual store soon!

First Class! I just recently started my first Nano reef over the pandemic and had been cycling my tank for the last 4 months without any corals. First, just wanted to say I didn’t know this business or owner prior to ordering online. Second, this was the first time I ordered a fish online. I ordered a flame angel and it arrived in less than 24 hrs. It was perfectly healthy on arrival. Started picking at food shortly after. The prices are fair and the packing was exceptional. It came in a styrofoam box with 2 heat pads, double bagged (with I assume oxygen), a healthy sampling of food which I guess is what it was fed at the store and a nice store sticker! The store sent me a video on the fish I was interested in before buying and answered any questions I had in a timely manner. Website is pretty good too. Would definitely buy here again. Great job!

Love this place! It is definitely one of it not my favourite coral store. They have great prices on a wide selection of corals, fish, and inverts, and the service is also wonderful. Would extremely recommend this place to anyone in the saltwater hobby.
