If I could give a 0 star rating, I would. Dr. Barker lied to me about my wisdom teeth and said they needed to come out. He got one of them out, but since it wasn't ready, he had to pull and twist with all his might, multiple times, until he managed to rip the tooth out. He kept stopping and asking me if I was ok, he had such difficulty getting it out. He had to stop and catch his breath a few times. Obviously my tooth wasn't ready to go anywhere. I left traumatized and never went back. I went to a different dentist who told me that my other wisdom tooth was fine and didnt need to come out. Dr. Barker is well known for doing unnecessary procedures on his patients, for money. I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. Stay away from this dental clinic, there are honest dentists out there, but not there.

The Dentist and hygienist are top notch. I went for a checkup and to have the health of my teeth reviewed before the end of dental ins. Should be a 0 star. I was to have had 7 fillings replaced - but the Dental Therapist took it upon herself to do EIGHT. She claims she told me and said the assistant said I ok'd it - but I did NOT. I complained to the SDTA to no avail, and they even told me that the Dentist offered to refund me ... which I don't recall him ever doing and don't think he told them. He did not authorize the 8th filling to be done - and although the SDTA said the Therapist was intimidated or put off by my wife being in the industry - and further said other irrelevant 'facts' like "he said he could afford to have implants done on all his teeth" or words similar to that. I would be glad to share this with anyone. I have nothing to hide - and I have been told that the Therapist will write a letter of apology. Interesting... she will apologize for something that she says she did not do - and will 'change' the way she does things... as I was told by the SDTA. This therapist will say anything to avoid trouble, it seems - and it is weird that my recollection of events is NOT what she says (or says the assistant heard) - and isn't it strange that I would speak to the Dentist on that very day and complain if it weren't such a big deal? I have no beef with Dr. Vicko (sp?) but I would be careful.

Dr. Barker and his team have been great to me. They took care of my tooth pain very quickly, pulled the rotten tooth without any complications, and essentially rebuilt my other decayed teeth for me. They really took pride in restoring my smile! I did have one issue - I was charged for something that was supposed to be covered by my insurance. Since insurance can take a while to pay them, and can even refuse to cover things at times, it was understandable that they didn't want to refund me until the insurance had paid them. However, when Christmas came around and I was still checking in with them regularly about the refund, they decided to help me out and issued the refund for me even though they were still waiting on the insurance.

Everything was great! I know this sounds sorta strange when talking about a dental appointment, but I felt absolutely no pain and everybody was wonderful. If you've gotta see a dentist, this should be the place you go.

I'm 57 years old,been living in Moose jaw with my family for the last 17 years. Originally from Wales,as a young child having really bad experiences with dentistsive always found it really hard to keep appointments . So 2 weeks ago I had a clean and a polish,that's without having to take prescribed opioids . That's how bad the fear of the dentists has been for me. Went to Doctor Barker today,and I was totally calm and at ease.i had a lot of work done and my nerves were great. Doctor Barker is by far the best dentist Ive ever seen and I've seen a few and that goes for Tammy also.i feel so good about going there. I'm pleased with the level of professionalism from almost all the staff I've had contact with at this office. There was one exception, but I was being a difficult patient that day, so all is forgiven. Dr. Viczko is very good with all of my family. My only real complaint is the lack available street parking on occasion, but that's easily solved by parking 2 blocks away, or just walking from home.

Maureen at the desk is so friendly and knowledgeable and so are all of the other staff. Dr. Barker has a way of making a root canal uneventful. Everything is painless. Main St Dental has always been a pleasant visit for me and my family for over 10years. The receptionist handle their work load professionally including taking care of the insurance hassle. The hygienists are friendly, informative and listen to your concerns and promptly notifies a dentist. Dr Visco is the best dentist I’ve ever had, everything is prefect with his demeanour, practices in any dental work is gentle and compassionate. My family has seen the other dentists in the office in the past just so our visits are completed at the same time (another excellent service done by the receptionist)and I’ve never heard any complaints.

All of the staff at Main Street Dental are very professional and knowledgeable, yet welcoming and friendly.
