I purchased a Toyota Rav4 from The Car Shop and I must admit that this is not your typical car dealership experience. It felt refreshing for a change. George was transparent, honest, professional, funny and takes personal interest in the buyer. For him selling a car is not just a transaction, but a whole experience of providing you a great service and making a long lasting relationship. He gave me a great deal, patiently answered all my questions and concerns, shipped the car to Halifax for me, took the complexity out of the process and made it seamless. I am totally impressed. I am planning to go back to him for purchasing a car for my daughter and will definitely keep him in mind for my next vehicle. I would highly recommend using his services.

All of the amazing reviews here are absolutely true. George really is an amazing, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable guy. He really made the whole stressful process of getting a vehicle, a lot less stressful. We purchased a car here(Honda Accord), and had a bit of a hiccup with Financing and he guided us through the whole way, even as the lien holder kept asking for more and more documents from us(as we are trying to build up some credit), George called them up and said it was getting a bit ridiculous when we already proved so much. He got us the best possible interest rate from them too. The car we purchased is in pretty great shape, and ultra clean. Highly recommend going here for a vehicle purchase. We will be back here for any future vehicles we may need(Hopefully not too soon though!).

Provided me with every step about in house financing and it was quick and painless. Paperwork was all labeled and organized and easy to read and answered any of my questions before I even signed. His vehicles are very well maintained and professionally cleaned not a piece of dirt anywhere can be found on them. Different warranty packages to fit your needs is excellent and well worth it. Recently purchased a 2017 Camry from George at NL Car Shop, the encounter couldn't have been more perfect. I am convinced the meeting was set up by God. He worked hard to get the best loan for me and to secure the extra expenses I wanted like winter tires & rims and undercoating, and even spoke with a Rep to ensure I was qualified for the warranty I wanted and to the bank to work out the best loan. Definitely going above and beyond just filling out the applications, he wanted to make sure I would not be 'left out to dry'. Even after the loan was approved he went back to try to get an even better loan, showing his commitment to his work. The amazing part is that he worked late so I could pick the car up after my work the following day. He discounted a portion of the fees out of good nature and no other reason. This encounter definitely deserves at least a 6/5 and would recommend him to anyone looking to get a great deal on a car with a smooth buying experience. I will be returning to him for more business in the future.

I can’t say enough good things about George and how he conducts business. My wife bought an outback off of him last April. He did his best to get a good deal and treated us with genuine respect. I just bought another Subaru off of him tonight. He made a special trip over the highway to get me the car because of a delay in paperwork that wasn’t his fault. He even remembered my two young sons. If you are reading this review, you must be considering a vehicle purchase from George at the Car Shop. I havent been to NL nor have I met George. But, let me say this. My online purchase went smooth as silk. George respected me and my questions and my offer. He gave me his best price, and full details on insurance, taxes, shipping, contact details when the vehicle was being shipped, when it would arrive, how I was to retrieve it, car fax report, and he did not over sell the vehicle. He told me what he had done to it since his acquiring it, and gave me an honest appraisal. I think he was a little too modest in his appraisal. If you are looking for a good car buying experience, especially if on line and from out of Province, George will look after everything and keep you posted continuously. Is it possible to give 6 stars? What can I say, George (owner) is easily one of the nicest and most professional car dealers I have come across. He was remarkably fast at getting back to me on all my questions. He was able to get me the best possible interest rate - while many other 'claim' they could - he actually did. First, and foremost I am from Nova Scotia and YES I flew to St.Johns to buy my truck. This alone speaks to the great service, price and transparency that George and the Carshop provide. Trust me, I tried them all - Clutch, used dealerships with 5 star reviews and nothing comes close to the Carshop. The flight was well worth the money as my truck is beautiful and I could not be happier. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. Bought my CRV from George months ago. He took as much time as needed to go through all the details and made sure I got the right vehicle and warranty to match. He promised me a set of winter tires when the season came and certainly didn't forget. Even helped source the proper wheels at a great price and held it for when I was ready to drop by. Absolute professional, yet very personable. You can really tell he loves what he does and he cares about his customers. There's not a single vehicle on his lot that's not in great shape and they're all clean and well-detailed (even had his guy clean off my new purchase before I left the lot, so shout out to his detailer!). No junk vehicles on his lot either, only quality. Have had my rig for 6 months and not a single issue. 100% recommend anyone in the market for a vehicle. You won't be disappointed!
