The Sobeys at Brookside may not be the largest grocery store on the north side, but the staff there are fantastic. The displays at the seafood and butcher counters are often done up in one way or another, and my kids look forward to seeing what they have done with it each time we go in. They consistently have 2-for-1 deals, twoonie sales, 2-for-$5 deals, and In addition to their sales, they offer Air Miles Rewards and several times throughout the year they offer gas savings coupons for Sobeys Gas Bar/Irving. Just yesterday I saved .43/L thanks to the coupons I'd saved up (saved $23 on a $64 tank of gas!), and have more than $30 in Air Miles Cash Rewards accumulated!

As far as a grocery store goes I am happy to shop here. It isn't the largest and it isn't a superstore in regards to buying things like clothes but groceries no complaints. Also they take premium points cards like Amex.

This location has a similar layout and feel as other Sobeys stores making it very easy to shop. It is well stocked any time I go and it typically isn't too busy, keeping in mind normal shopping hours. Peak times are always going to be busier. The staff is always friendly and helpful. A delight to shop here.

Good location, nice and handy to the Ring Road. Generally well stocked and tidy. One complaint is that the fresh baked section is fairly limited, but you can make due. Appreciate multiple entrances/exits to the parking lot around the mall. Nice selection of stores and restaurants nearby.

I usually will only go here when I’m either too lazy to go to Walmart, or when it’s just convenient. Just because the prices are quite a bit higher than Walmart, so I usually go with cheaper. Staff are great and store is well kept all things aside.

I love shopping at Sobeys in Brookside Mall. Nice, clean store and well organized. The shelves are well stocked, and if you can't find what you want, there is always plenty of staff around to help. Prices are good, especially Compliments brands, which are every bit as good, if not better than other higher priced name brands. Check out staff are all exceptional and very friendly.

I have been a loyal Sobeys shopper at Brookside Mall for over 10 years but today I've decided to no longer shop there. I was there today and was extremely dismayed, disappointed and angry to see SO MANY CUSTOMERS NOT WEARING MASKS! Other grocery chains( Superstore and Walmart) have made it mandatory because some people SELFISHLY, STILL, DO NOT FEEL THE NEED TO PROTECT OTHERS BY THE SIMPLE ACT OF WEARING A MASK and that decision has to be made for THEM.. .. I will take my money to those stores that have the health of Canadians as a PRIORITY.

Quite possibly the single most expensive grocery store in the entire city! Even the Sobeys on regent and prospect can't compare to the price gouging here... And let's not forget that they do not regulate how many items are purchased from a single sale which results in all the items being old off to single destinations, only for it to get marked up by 3000% in every c-store in town. Burn in flames Sobeys... Burn hard.

Bakery department needs attention. About a third are missing price labels of any kind. Most items don't have ingredients listed, not sure how that's even legal especially for those with allergies. But the presentation of the cake I saw today really took my breath away. Take a look for yourself.

I've finally reached my tipping point with the Sobeys at the Brookside Mall. I'm in 2-3 times a week and each time I run into the same problem. The items I'm looking for are either gone, or picked through to the point that only the most beat up, bruised, or straight up broken items remain. Today I came in to buy boneless chicken breast and there wasn't a single pack left outside of the free range, organic stuff (at twice the cost). The visit before I was in looking for plain oatmeal and there wasn't a single bag left. Before that was broccoli, before that was blueberries. The list goes on. And I would understand if I was coming in an hour before the store closed, but I'm often in 3, 4, and sometimes even 5 hours before and I'm still having the same problem. There is a Superstore 15 minutes further down the road. Even though it is an inconvenience to me to walk the extra distance (and walk back with an arm load of groceries), this is pretty much required if I want to buy everything I need. This is just disappointing. I expect better from one of the biggest grocery chains in Atlantic Canada.
