Asked for less than a half inch off the top, got way over an inch off the top. Frankly, no big deal, but what really drove me to write this review was my experience after the fact. I came back ~10 minutes after I left because I noticed she left the "tail" at the back of my head. I went back to ask to get that quickly removed and to square off the back (as I've been doing my entire life and so does most people I know in my age group (<25) who also have "tails"). Keep in mind, I remained respectful the entire time. Apparently the husband and wife were offended that I made this request and so the husband decided to make the comment "it'll look stupid but we can do whatever you want". Very unprofessional and offensive and I do not recommend.

Phat is hilarious and gives a good quality haircut for a reasonable price. No appointment needed makes it super ideal when you need a last minute cut. Even with multiple walk-ins at any given time, you're in and out within an hour max.

Phat is exactly what I want in a barber. First of all, he's good at cutting hair. I've never been disappointed walking out of his shop. Second, he's got a great memory, which means not only does he remember how I want my hair cut, but he also remembers personal details about his customers, which goes along way. Third, for the price of a haircut you get admission to a pretty good show. You almost want to wait in line for your haircut just to hear Phat banter with his customers. Put it all together and Phat is the barber you're looking for.

Went for the first time a few days ago because of all the five star reviews I saw on google. Walked in at 11, Phat was standing talking to a guy when I first went in (that feeling when you break up a conversation). I apologised and asked if I should come back. He said it was fine. Still had the impression that I was imposing on him, he told me he was trying to leave to go pick up his car at the garage. Again I offered to come back, again he said it was fine. After literally 30 seconds of shaving my head he said "okay, I'll show you the back". I was a little dumb-struck (thought he was joking). I told him I wasn't going to tip and wouldn't be back. He didn't seem to care. I'm a reasonable guy but I'm not going to give my business to someone who doesn't want it!

Very rude and unprofessional. There was no line when I got to the barber shop, but he ignored me and l waited for a good 5-10min while he was checking his phone and other stuff. After I told him what I wanted for my hair, it seemed that he want to show off his skill and only used one hand to do the job, it was very uncomfortable. Then he started to tell me weird stories about his neighbours, and apparently my appearance reminded him of this “dumb neighbour” he used to have, and he even made fun of me in front of other customers that came in later. I have to say Phat's barber shop was one off the most unique experiences I have had at a barber shop. He has a amazing personality and you can tell he is passionate about what he does . He provides a clean hair cut in record timming. His shop is very clean and your hair cut is accompanied with a comedy routine with each cut. I am someone who rarley leaves comfortable with my hair cut . But I leave here feeling like I don't need to "grow into my cut" or "need a few days to adjust". I would recommend anyone to come here. You really will not be dissapointed. You can only imagine the tension when the barber's long lost son walks in during your cut. Phat tells you, hes here for lots of money, so he'll give him the special cut when you leave. I love Phat as much as he loves my money, because hes cut my hair more than anyone else in town. No one else will bluntly joke about you while they cut your hair. He cuts twice the hair in half the time because the last time he made a mistake it walked through his door looking for child payments!
